  1. Ugh, I hate thermonuclear pies.
  2. It's a bit easier to experiment in a corporate environment, oh how I would love to play. I had some problems going from an NF2 to NF4, would constantly bluescreen recovery installs ftw, though I try not to do that. But normally I'll do it the long tedious way when repairing someone's computer. Becomes especially annoying when they want "everything" backed up. and they don't tell you where everything is. Or you find they were storing important files in the directX folder.
  3. last few times I had tried this, Completely different chip sets, it would blue screen on start up.. Yes It can be done, I just prefer to have a clean copy.
  4. It's pretty easy once you've got a usb enclosure just to grab everything off, since you can't just put that drive into a new laptop and be done with it. (unless it's 100% the same)
  5. Bet I could get the springs out in less than five, All I need is a jack and an angle grinder. Don't expect to ever use the springs again.
  6. Try pulling a RAM stick (if it's got two) and just use one. in some cases a machine won't post with dead RAM.
  7. Best things anyone that works on cars alot could own. unless they can afford a pit or a lift
  8. Yeah, That's the idea I want to have. Hence why it was moreso a test what I'd just done. (tis' back to normal now) According to this guy http://e30.bmwdiy.info/indy-fogs/index.html
  9. So, I've been meddiling with some wires. And I've managed to work out how to make the foglights run whenever the ignition key is turned to "ON" By using the heated seat circut (car has no heated seats anyway) which is 15A and only when the car is "ON" , enough to run a pair of 7.5A foglights. However, I'd much rather run this whilst the key is on, but have the option of using the foglight switch. Anyone got any clues on how I could do this... which relay the foglight uses?
  10. I spotted a whole bunch of nice new BMW's including a shiny new E9x M3. at Cook Howlison BMW.
  11. Right, Got some parts today... the things with the bushings in them, bushings look fine enough to be re-used. and one of the bracket peices for the rear sub-frame. Turns out all the parts I needed can be bought from the dealer for bugger all, only issue is theres two weeks wait from germany. So, If anyone has the mounts that attach to the car body, and one peice for the bushing thing to the subframe let me know *yes I have nfi what these parts are called* Cheers.
  12. Yep, was not 100% sure what parts I needed, thanks for clearing that up Nathan
  13. As per title, Anyone got any? (that's ment to be links & mounts... fail) Going to go to the wrecker and autolign today and see if they have any. Not sure on what part numbers. But it's a 12mm swaybar? (325i standard I think) Ta.
  14. Bit off topic. But is it possible to get the logo stickers for them? I only need one so all of my caps have logo's. (would probably get four though and restore the caps)
  15. Hmm, I thought all trailers required a safety chain... that one about the push bikes requiring a proper light is good, I'm sick of cyclists with no lights at all. I sort of think all cars should have their lights on during the day even if it's just the fog lights, makes them much easier to spot, However not everyone does.
  16. Lol. I use to drive past this every morning, and lol. I think it might have sold, It's not there anymore. maybe Peter Chin wanted it?
  17. Best make an introductory thread... Keen to see pics of your ride
  18. If you do it, you must video it.
  19. Most people I know wouldn't buy it simply because it's old and "overpriced" why buy that when you can get a 1.8 FWD Gay POS Japanese car for the same price with less kays and newer.
  20. M3 needs stealies to go with the matte black.
