  1. Kits are no longer available through BMW as a whole kit. You might be lucky to get a few bits but I know that there are no front bumper/spoilers available and I also think the rear bumpers are out.

The list price for the full kit was $6500 incl all clips, wheather strips and drilling jigs.

    Good Luck

  2. If you want to form it to a shape, or wrap it around and object i would suggest you buy the raw material and do it yourself. It is not that dear and is as easy ti work with as fibre glass. Only difference is that the cloth does conform to corners and joins as fibre glass does without vaccum packing and autoclaving.

    As a guide, $200 + /4 liniar metre for cloth (minimum 2 l/metre)

If using for heat sheilding you will need heat resisitant resin. this is quite pricey compared to normal glass resin.

Prelayed flat sheeting is great. Just cut to shape, brace and resin together with some fibre glass matting for joint strength. Recommend grinding the back of pre layed sheet to reduce the thickness before joining.

  3. O2 sensor will fail over time of continued use. The fuel is lead based and all modern cars have an O2 sensor that are not lead friendly. But as you said, there is performance to be gained. Any fuel that you can't buy from a service station out of their pump is illegal to use on public roads. Rally cars get away with it due to them being competition car, normally driven on public roads solely on touring stages. AVgas is also illegal to use on public roads. The sure fire give away for a cop other then the smell is the grey/white exhaust.

  4. Wellington area I would have to Suggest SPEEDTECH Motorsport. Andre is a wizard when it come to all thing electronic. Have a look at his site www.speedtech.co.nz his EVO 3 is a drag weapon. Fastest in Australasia

  5. This has now been written off. Stage 4, 180kmh into a tree that didn't move. Co-driver has 2 broken feet. Stage was cancelled due to rescue crew having to cut the car to get her feet out from under the rollcage footings. Front screen, A pillar and dash were on top of the driver.

  6. wheels are FWD, nothing 25mm spacers wont fix. 1 step at a time. Rear camber kit still to go in. Ran out of time before the weekend to fit it.

Colour isn't alpine white. It is just plain old white 2k tinter. Alpine is still a dirty looking white.

  7. Not painting the engine bay until I do a motor swap. Basically what i have done is inside the doors, door shuts, bonnet shut and boot shut. The underside of the boot and bonnet will be painted at a later date also. The boot lid “might” have the underside covered in fabric also.

To date the costs aren't to high at all. Panel $700. Paint $220 for paint and $300 to be sprayed. Headlining $290, Dark carpet $110, Door cards $65, Wheels $1046 incl Studs and nuts, Tyres $600, Springs $375
