its the only aspect of my 535is i was disapointed in.its was very hard to get below 10 l 100 k on the open road and i tried.around town its somewhere 13-17 per 100 depending on how start stop it is.
try 20L per 100k in my 2.8L M30...

Yep pretty much the same, E32 is just bigger and heavier version of the E34 with more features usually, they are usually cheaper as they're not too popular as kiwi535 mentioned.
Its the stop\start around town driving that makes M30 drink alot but open road its not much worse than M50 or M60, M30 makes up in being a nicer engine to work on, less complex and cheaper.
Yea, m30s are pretty bloody simple engines. Depends what you think thirsty is. My only m30 experience is very uneconomic but it's a very run in engine. An e34s m30 shouldn't be to bad.

E34 definitely, it's 8-9 years newer.
-
Good to see another e28 getting some well deserved attention.
-
Is this not F/L being an 88?
FL began mid 88. And this clearly has chrome bumpers, no smileys etc.
-
That's what I've been doing for the last few years as long as its suppose to be like that I don't mind.
-
Heater issue, never really cared about this but now it annoys the hell out of me.
E28
When temperature is set to hot
- top vents next to wind screen blows hot
- feet blows hot
- front and top centre vent blows cold.
What's going on here? Some kind of internal flap broken or something?
-
stop using the search feature pete lol.
-
if you find anything newer than an e34 for $3-4k it will most likely turn out to be a money pit.
-
The biggest job was the hood I bought him the boot panels.
-
keep it stock mate, better performance, better resale value.
is this what you need?
I will make another order at some point and can add this to it.

What was keeping me from finishing my engine? This...
All done now.
Brent, the guy made this himself because he did it before I got a chance to let him know your package arrived :/
And my drivers seat mounts were buggered, as well as the handbrake. All solid now.
Small dent job on the new (old) boot lid.
Now to do some painting and get this bloody engine done.

intentions andy? use for the kit?

borrow a gps or use a speed app on an iphone to check your speed via satellite. If that is way different to your speedo then check for problems.
wheel/tyre size, stretched speedo cable, dif sensor etc.

I have a v1 1.85. Seems to be doing the job pretty bloody well.
-
Mobile phone pictures for the advert too.
Sigh.
I could only assume they use cooking oil for the engine lubrication with that level of logic.
I bet you that isn't too uncommon. Similar to dishwahing liquid in the dishwasher

Beautiful.
Also, learn to park.
-
all valves cleaned, now lapping and testing time.
-
That's a sweet looking e38
-
A day of soda blasting and degreasing. Not to bad for a DIY job. The valves aren't perfect but they are a heck of a lot better than before.

Yea it can't be your daily. But they told me they don't look at how many ks etc so I wonder how they would monitor it...
-
I'm with swann for the e28 too. So I went from 3k depreciating each year with State to 8k fixed no problem. And it's a sh*t load cheaper annually.

Mmmmm, cool

355000ks, ticks like hell, piston rings are probably shot, the list could go on forever...its using 0L per 100k atm since its sitting in the garage waiting for its donor engine.
sorry for thread jack*
