  1. That's odd. I have had 1 Mazda, 1 Ford, 2 E34'S and an E12, own a Hyundai, have a holden motor on the Hilux tray, have had a starlet, a celica gt-r and an AMG Galant. I also love alfa's to bits and love BMW's, love porsches too. I'm fu**ed.

I have owned two Honda's also [bikes] a zuki and a Kwaka. What does that make me?

  2. Also would I need to get the whole thing repainted? Or could some places just touch it up? As the previous owner just had the front repainted not so long ago so the rest of the paint is in good condition.

Would all depend on how much paint is damaged, but, a good painter should be able to get away with painting only part of it.

Also depends on the kind of paint it was painted with

  3. I have been doing some work for a chap in Carterton retoring his collection of cars [mainly american]

I thought I would post a few pics up of the lovely cars. How many can you geuss? This is barely a dent in the collection.

The silvia isn't from the same collection, the boss had to remake the front gaurds from glass as they were very poor quality and didn't fit. It's a 97 S14, with an s15 front [evidently]

The riviera is a work in progress

    Photos have been resized =D

  4. There's a Mk2 Cortina front in the background of the first pic & the back in the 2nd :P

Certainly is, has a new drivers side front on it too, poor beast was a bit smashed.

Here's an easier one [note all these lovely beasts are from the same collection and there are many, many more]

  5. What does fixing it involve?

I would remove the bumper [obviously] sand back all the damaged area and a few inches around it. Then, all cracks would be "vee'd" and filled with resin the a sheet or two over them, any bent areas would be cut and remade or glassed back into place [depending on how bent]. Then smooth it with bog and put it back on, during the process the bumper would go on and off the car many times to make it perfect.

    That's the easy way.

  6. Quick small update, car is looking somewhat sad in the shed. I pulled the rocker cover off the 202 and almost vomited...a bit greasy looking in there.

And a few nice toys from where I am working currently.

    I'm hoping the photo's aren't too large.

    Geuss the cars

  7. There is a blue one with euro plates I used to see a fair bit around Auckland. And then that red convertible on trademe a few years back with a big (and ugly) audio install.

They are cool but I think id pass on one. Rather a tidy 911 for similar money

The convertible was a mondial wasn't it? Had chrome wheels?

I would steer away from the 400i, get a massive loan against a house and get a 456

  8. ^ AMG did VR4's, not Evo's though.

Nope, was the E33A Galant. There was a type 1 and type 2, different spoiler kits and interiors.

just the plug cover off a AMG galant to be different, they never did anything special with amg galants powerwise, just cosmetic stuff wasnt it? orange front indicators, bumpers etc im sure I have an article here somewhere...

The type 1 had orange indicators. Both had a 125kw 4g63 in them, uprated version of the gti-16v [107kw]

I used to have one. Was a nice car.

They came out with gay wheels though

  9. To DDoogle if the 001 did not work for you it is more likely that the tyre was not suited to the specific car rather than the tyre being crap-

On the right car with the right set up these are a very nice tyre.

Have had the 001 on a standard sw20 mr2 gt and a cm5a lancer and e26 325i, they didn't offer a great amount of grip in comparison to the RE01R [as I said]

Poo, edit, was confused with the re01 not, 001. Sorry chaps, I just remembered the 001 is asymmetrical.
