mine arrived the other day, they are not going on the car for a while as i dont think it is up to standard at the moment. cracked me up that they even came with instuctions on how to apply them.

looks like im just gonna buy some replacment door locks as my central locking ( as of tonight ) has decided to only work when it wants to. wouldnt mind replacing the central locking system with an aftermarket item . where did you score yours from nz320i? is it hard to install?

i just thought it would be a simple solution as the hole from where the lock came from is rugged. do they still make solex locks? whats the benefit of putting in solex locks? wouldnt you be able to whack them in through the hole and in turn gain access to the car? i need to do something as i cant park it anywhere because you can put your finger in through the hole and pop up the lock.

my drivers door lock is non-existant because some tried to break in but only got as far as pushing in the door lock. i went to a panel beater today to suss out a price on welding in a plate, bogging over it and then paint it. he said he would charge $80 to weld in a plate and bog it and a further $60 to paint it. if i were to do this i would obviously want the drivers and passenger door done, so all up i would be looking at $280 to get both door locks welded up and painted. just wondering if this sounds reasonable because he can fit me in tomorrow ( thursday ) to get it done. one other thing that has got me a bit worried is that he said that he has done it before to a couple of civics and over time the bog has cracked because of the shutting of the door over and over. anyone had any experiance with getting the locks removed and filled? thanks nick

yeah, it didnt look to bad but wasnt the style i was after. ive already sold the wheels and am on the hunt for some replacments, also on the lookout for a mtech kit etc.

im in the process of putting a sub and amp in my e30 but cannot be bothered building a box, and the ones that can be brought are sh*t. so i was wondering if anyone had a box that they had built to fit in an e30 ( leaving the spare whel accessable ) that they are willing to sell?

i am out of town for the week and have left the battery connected and pulled the relay out. when i get back into town i will see if the car starts and then go from there.

we removed the relay and when we put it back in it does click, so we presumed this is the problem. what do you suggest we do now?

ive had some trouble with the e30 flattening batteries and in turn locking me out of the car. went out to a mates place and they diagnosed it as relay k8 is drawing a charge all the time. it is definately a replacment relay and we are guessing it is the wrong one. so basically i need to get the proper relay for it. how much should one set me back? where would i get one from? anyone have a spare? thanks nick

solved. i went down to autoquip on dominion road and picked up the right one today. the guy there said they supply repco and that they may have ordered in the wrong model for the listing they have.

ive had a search around but cant find much help. i successfully replaced my ignition today, it is working fine etc but now it has a weird fast ticking noise coming from it. any ideas on what this is and how to fix it? when i start my car and put it in to drive and accelerate off it doesnt change gear for the first minute of driving then it starts changing correctly. i have been told it may be due to the trans having the wrong type of oil in it and that it needs either thicker or thinner oil. can anyone shed some light on this? thanks nick
