You can buy the logo clip from the BMW dealer ( got mine from City BMW couple years ago now probably ). Think it was about $20 and took a week to get here, maybe less.

Tremendous.
The difference in sound between the two cars was interesting.

The hand job in the F10 530D behind me this morning, who threw his hands up in disgust when I let a car ( a cool E32 730i ) from a side street pull in in front of me. Pull your f**king head in.

Looks like it was perhaps an innocent victim?

^picking up a 4x4 bmw or toyota i could understand the slip up, but virtually every subaru under the sun is 4x4 surely its in the training manual!
Have wondered this. How do they know what cars are what layout?
That's my car ( mrs pom) I spent all sat cleaning them.
What wheels are those?

CSL is much more than just a carbon roof and a cool name over a normal M3. I'd suggest waiting for a CSL, these are appreciating nicely here and prices are heading stratospheric overseas.
Check the prices for LHD CSLs, crazy.

Try Euro Italian in Auckland. I'm sure he'd carry what you need. Plus you get a 15% bimmersport discount.

Judging by the photos, he's based in Auckland. Well at least the photos were taken in Auckland.

Think the owner is a member here.

Insurance will throw their toys, surely? As the asking price has gotta be at least $10k more than a boggo 528i ( which is all they will care about )? In reality it's a modified up to the tit 528i.

Absolutely lovely.
Aubergine?

I have dogs. I love my dogs. Im not going to eat them.
But. An animal is an animal, and if a culture eats dog meat, and that is what they have always done, who am I to question it. Some cultures do not have cheap factory farmed meat available. Most will consume in a month what we do in one sitting.
We live in a country where most of the meat we eat is factory farmed, we just turn a blind eye to it. We also consume an unbelievable amount of meat, way more that what we need too.
I say watch this and decide if the meat you currently eat comes from animals that have been treated ethically or humanly before passing judgment on other cultures. And maybe ask if what we do is any better than other cultures.
I am not a vegan/vegetarian either, I am conscious of what I eat though.
I hold a similar view.
I have no problem with people eating dog, or any other animal. But for f**ks sake, treat the damn animal responsibly and humanely. It's not hard.
My partner and I eat very little meat ( our 1-year old daughter has it most nights however ) for various reasons, but what meat we do eat, always comes from producers who farm responsibly and ethically.

I think you should state why the engine has the warranty. It's a bit odd with no context.
GLWS.

I've not seen one in real life, but I like a low-ish X5 - I always wondered how they'd handle, and how low you could safely go..... I guess there is a right way, and a wrong way, and the Kiwi way is usually the wrong way!
It was a tossup between building a low-ish V8 X5 2WD manual, and something VW Touran based... Touran won!
Putting the, frankly retarded, dynamics aside, it looked absolutely ridiculous imo. The proportions were completely wrong.

Saw a lowered, face lifted first-Gen X5 on the Harbour Bridge handling HILARIOUSLY ( dangerously ) poorly. The geometry was so screwed up the driver and passengers were getting thrown sideways in their seats as they went over the ( bumpy ) bridge.

There's a red E30 M3 on what looks like Schnitzer Type 2 wheels that gets daily driven along the waterfront in Auckland. Awesome.

Wasn't a members 535is for sale recently for around $12k?

^ I reckon it's come loose at some stage and rubbed against the belt or pulley.
Yeah I did think that. It probably is the most logical.
Although the expansion tank had been hacked up to fit the radiator hose, so who knows.

Expansion tank was leaking. I've pulled it off and replaced it ( along with the thermostat, what an insane design ), but the top radiator hose does not seem to want to fit properly. I can get the 2 ends to fit snugly and locked in ( at least I think the radiator end is on far enough ). But the 3rd hole, back into the expansion tank, doesn't want to marry up to lock into place. Any tricks? It's at least 5mm away from being able to clip in.
I also discovered that someone has hacked a hole into the intake for the alternator. Why??!!

Bled the coolant system, took it for a drive around the CBD and the temp fluctuated between 92-94 ( via OBC ). And I got heat back into the AC. Will check the coolant level before I leave work to see what's been lost, and try get it pressure tested tomorrow.
VW Mk4 R32
in Other European Cars

In my mind, the Mk4 R32 is sort of getting to the age now where you are buying it because it's a "classic", rather than wanting it for it's performance capabilities ( which are obviously eclipsed by the later models ). They are cool cars, such a better shape than the Mk5.
