Yes i have, but i havent legally driven in nz as yet, i havnt been back from aust for to long. had a lic over there but when i came here they made me start at my learners again..... so yea.... get restricted in feb.

im just stressing as i get my lic in feb and need a car to get learning in asap.

I want an M20B25 or M20B20 in running cond. Need to bolt motor in and drive away. Sick of not having this car on the road. Should have $1000 to spend

hahahahahahaha, due to high demand for me to keep this car im going to scrap the rb30 idea, to much bloody work, the E30 turns out to be sh*t, going to keep E34. i need a new motor ASAP. I want a running bolt in motor something that will bolt to my gearbox. i want it to drop in, bolt up and drive away. Will have $1000 to do all this so please give me some help. I know it seems like i keep changing my mind but im just over not having a car, final decision is keeping E34 get it running and drive it.

but its true, parts like commodore, n nissan n ford etc are way more common then bmw and a sh*tload cheaper too... But asoon as its European the price hijacks through the roof.

It seems like a waste of money, asoon as something breaks down its like instantly $500 or more just because its bmw. Rather keep it stock as for the E30 ive been told they dont fit.

ok guys this is it, my car is up for sale, im now chasing this E30 so i need this gone regretfully, has motor and gearbox etc but had blown head gaskit, head is off the motor but comes with everything..... car is manual etc, elec windows, elec sunroof, all lights work, few tears in the cloth seats etc. will try and get my money back on it. $1000 ono

Beleive me mate i want to keep her, but the way its looking its not worth it. unless i have a very deep pocket i wont get it done, it will only be a project that sits in the shed and never gets finished. Like it would be good for a slow project but i need something i can drive sooner rather then later. And in the end i can always buy another E34.

will do mate, this guy says he has another spare E30 body that i get with the car i buy etc. but i will see what happens. Might have to open up an E30 project thread and close this 1 lol.

Guys its possible that things might change, ive been offered an E30 coupe 5speed etc for the same as what ive payed for the E34, will see what happens though i have to go look at this car, the best thing is its local and its in running cond!!! will keep you all updated.

Well for starters im only going to get the motor mounted into the car, aswell as get the tailshaft done, Ill do everything else locally, the diff will be fine, the tunnel should be fine considering the rb30 gearbox is smaller in diameter then the getrag, its only a little bit longer. I have been thinking about selling it but i wont get my $1000 back on the car. Also I think you guys should be helping and offering support rather then negativity towards my plans, I dont want a v8 in my E34, the old bmw v8s are to boring, if i wanted a v8 i would go for something like a 304ci holden motor or something. RB30's are a dime a dozen and parts for them are everywhere, compared to the bmw engines and parts, they are rare and expensive. RB30 being one of the worlds most reputable 6cyl motors are worth every option! PS im looking for an engineer not a put down about my car plans.

Wiring up wont be an issue, i have sparkies all around me in my fam, And ive owned many vl commodores in m life and know them back to front. so an RB30 is like a walk in the park for me, But I know i will run into walls etc. I have herd bad things about kazspec thats all, But if he can do the job for me then i spose I can take his deal.

Hi guys as you may know I am putting an rb30 into my E34 bmw, Ive been quoted $1200 by kazspec motor sport up in hamilton to get the motor and gearbox mounted into the car, extra $400-$500 to get the tailshaft done. I think its a little to pricey for my liking and I have herd that kazspec motor sport dont have the best reputation either. Any ideas or options will be greatly appreciated. cheers Rob
