i have that option, but silencer is around 50 for a good one, plus 1hr labour? i dont know about sotck muffler replacement, but my current tip looks cool

The mufflers too loud! cruising at 100k's on the motorway starts to get annoying with this thing at the back contantly rumbling. Can i stick a silencer on the inside circle bit instead of the oval tip? silencers come in circular shapes, and most i've seen attach near the tip. I did not intall this muffler, previous owner did, prob after backing into a tree by the looks of the dent. cheers for the help

Noob tyre question I have 205/60/14 Yokohama's S306 on my stock bmw alloys. It's been raining for a bit in auckland lately, and my rear end started to kick out in 2nd gear with a little bit of gas. I got around 7mm tread on my tyres. Should i get some lower profile tyres or get some better quality tyres? or is my right foot just a tad bit too heavy. no drama in the dry, i just find it hard to believe a 316 kicks out that easily. thanks in advance

PM'd you cheers

Just updated post. silver. no dents, light scratches. no rust i can see
-
Oh dayam, where can i upgrade to one of those?

I think it was standard not to have stereo and clock in a lowly 316. The clock instead of a rev counter was standard as well. My cluster was changed by previous owner from clock to rev counter. Windup windows as well, no A/C. Fun car to drive tho, coupe's anyways. dunno about 4 doors

I have an e30 316, the previous owners put in a new cluster so it has a rev counter, instead of a giant clock. The needle egts stuck on the motorway when i'm doing 80-12..i mean 100 . It hangs around the 2.5k to 3k region, although im sure the engine's doing less by the sound of the engine. Any ideas? cheers

Psshhhh, just coz you got a m50. 316 are awesome daily cars. Slow, yes. Still fun around bends? hell yea

Apparently, the rear inner upper guard is bigger, which mean larger wheel sizes.
