Anyone want a 1996 NZ new ragtop 328i? Heres your chance...
MoJoJoe replied to Phil-540i's topic in General Discussion
I spoke to the guy, Roof works with a bit of help as rubbers inside roof are old. Air con need service. Driver door is sagging, rear seat needs stitching repairs. Rear fan works well. Has some paper work for recent maint .Its the little things that make the car. was going to offer him like 5~ 5.5K but not anymore. I think 4.5K would be a great price if anybody wants to grab the vert for his wife or mother or something. -
to jam then into one of the nuts while you use your spanner to rotate the fan clutch nut clock wise to "break it" and then its pretty easy to unscrew.
-
Ok, thanks. Will do. meds overdosed!!! i'll keep looking, will post back if I got any updates or I hear back from the vert owner.
-
I dont know man, it does have resemblence to that e36 shape but it looks 2low, driver looks like some young kid with a cap on his head. I think the e34 would look better then the e39. hmmm...I think I found the car Jamie wanted for his hun bun....
-
I know you got a thing for the 5 series, i like this one honestly, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=657788253 But the rear looks so low and fat like those cars driven by, "gay black minority pimps".

I am a professional man. Like this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nLIbkjGzdA And I am still younger the blue, so I will just offer that tauranga chick my services. I am sure she will consider lowering the price if we both did her. But I am sure she'll pick me, I am a professional like mr. pink. But then again, my hairdresser does drive in a topless car and I think the guy goes the other way since he talks in a feminie soft top and has like fake blond hair, So i stopped going there...you get my drift. Good Stuff Jamie, I always make the chick pay for stuff. lol.

since verts dont have a hard top they dont allow verts at most tracks without a gay honda roll cages yo. adding another hundread KG's to the existing 150KG weight. the vert wont be an all purpose car, but if push comes to shove I'll grab it. if I end up parking at allans door next time I might be missing a head, since you know verts, no top. roll over, your head gets cut off.
-
but the guy wont sell it to me, lol.. and I havent even given him a offer yet! He refuses to get back to me or answer me since.. I will try again. But what if you guys think now I am a show off fagg or bikecurious* because I now drive a vert and cant go to track days anymore?? man.. so much social pressure. I can literally throw money at a guy but I still cant find what I want. I need my meds before I end up running over another homeless prostitute.

I got the spanner, I have done this before, but 2 of my screw drivers broke so I dont want to keep doing it like this, Yes I was spinning it clock wise. So I want to grab that tool. it makes life easier if it can hold it in place while I hammer the crap out of it with my rubber mallet @Dan, maybe I could wait till you are back and maybe borrow yours if you dont want to sell it. I dont know the wait from us to nz seems to be nearly a month.

Got some pictures of the red cars interior, the door cards have sag and will need replacing or re upholistery. the headliner looked okay. seats are okay and clean good condtion I might say. But seems she wants to relist it up for 5.5K. But this is not a 5.5K car with all these problems. yes it has potential to be a 5K car but not without 1K - 1.5K worth of work and money to make it 100% again. I doubt I can offer her more then 3.5K. (havent yet). For 5.5 I can get that black ragtop vert blue was talking about the other day, which also happens had belonged to another member here.
-
can i get it off you? i'll pay you exact what you paid + shipping from ebay? and you can get another one? I kinda need one next week.
-
do they sell the tool in nz? or must i get it off ebay? my trusted screw driver broke, but the damn clutch nut won't come off. time to invest in the tool.

classic. nothing beats a properly painted car. a well done wrap does look good too, but just not the whole car. it looks ghetto.

are there any fellow bimmersport members here from Waikato or tauranga/bay of plenty region? I saw a couple of cars in the region (2 in waikato) and was wondering if anybody would do me a favor and go for a test drive on one and for a case or beers or some petrol or something this weekend or whenever? I am up north and it will be like a 700KM - 1000KM to and back, so before I go down and inspect it for myself, I would really appreciate if there was somebody among us guys that cold have a look for me.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/525/auction-682873971.htm ^ looks well done for a 525i. but seems he lowered it too much, and the M badges will need to go along with the cheap fart can looking muffler. any offers? @Blue. But the advert said "sport wagon" man. so did the guy who sold it.

Yea as far as I know all verts came with the xbrace to make the chassis more stiff due to verts having more movement as they lack a roof. But thought I'd just ask anyway, you never know if it was damaged by the po who had to remove it and what not. I wonder maybe if it has LSD as well I might get tempted, as that will save me another 1K and back pain time under the car.. PS: Did all 5/95 cars come with the nutserts pre installed? So I just bolt it on and I am done? The nutserts are a PIA to install imo, welding should be so much better and easier (although then removing the oil pan becomes a pain). -

thanks, it looks more then decent, the colour came out pretty nice aswell and price wasn't bad either. I think I am gonna have a small chat with the guy if I can get myself to buy a vert, this will def be on top of my list. I am just afraid cats may tear it up or some kid may cut it open or steal something when I go hiking up the mountains leaving the car unattended for hours. mind if I ask a few other questions?...I am assuming it came with the msports xbrace fitted, did also have an LSD? How was the engine and gear box on it?? had any issues worth mentioning? and did you get to service the transmission on it (oil change)? was it the regular or motorsports suspension that you put in? I am thinking to do a small e36 328i project with m3 cams, m50 intake, headers, exhaust and a small tune and wondering if that vert would be a worth while place to start. -
get this. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=680881068 they are old but better then the new ones. they last a lifetime and require little to no maintenance or calibration, you can drop them as you like, and 9 times out of 10, they'll work as usual. good for basic jobs and you can do bigger projects with too if you feel confident, and you can calibrate the newer ones with these as well. just make sure there's enough room and shed some light if you are ever working underneath. great for beginners.

@Blue, Yea man, I totally want a gull wing pink pulsar now, with those gold rims, vtch and 50000W Ghetto Blaster Sub and what have you. Funny a guy I used to work with like 7 years ago had one of those. Friend has a sr14(NA) and a evo he keeps bragging about(trying to talk me into buying his evo). I still have a wagon to get rid of. Nope, no more Jap cars for me. I'll catch up on it tonight though, lungs full of my meds. then I will come back here, tomorrow 8 cylinder, 2800 lambo doors chrome wheels fenders are vented for all that 193 horsepowerz and a clown nose + body kit. does it include fees for a sex change operation as well? its also in Waikato! how convenient. .. get his details man, my neighbor works for the spca and can help the owner get a vasectomy as required.

hi, how much did you sell it to him for? I would be interested to see a few pictures, if you have it somewhere up here post a link. Maybe I will go have a peep at it. it might be worth a look after all. not sure if the guy maintained it or if its got any major problems, but from the looks of it, it seems I will have to change the door cards. -
Yea, sounds about right. I also have that OCD/Perfectionist thing. Make things right, change all the bushings, change the arms, change the wish bones, ball joints, shock absorbers, this that this that. I always pay attention to small details and one thing leads to another and I either make things worse, break something only to replace it with a newer/better one. Na, Keep the 525i bro, I am only looking at those, I like those cars, specially the e34, has a lotta class on the inside and plenty of grunt on a straight line, its just that I think I will get bored in it and I dont think it will be as fun as a 328i daily driver + semi project/track car. So my target is still really a 3 series unless I am tempted. You mean like this don't you? I hope I dont get tempted too much to buy both. 5k each. Lol. Seriously to be honest I just dont want to spend that kinda money, Because then when you go over the 10K mark, you start to think hey why not just get an M3 and then I end up spending 3 times more then I initially wanted. I just cant justify it. Maybe I can go up to 7 - 8K if the cars worth it. But that's it. No more. Yea I dont live too far from the caves, so I go out of my way to drive by his place often, Well there's about 20 acres of land that separates him and me, and most of that land is owned by a posh old lady, who also happens to own a bmw. its a northern thing. psst: there are bodies inside the cave. its a town secret, and don't think you can tell the police because they are also in on it since. you know all the missing homeless people, I hid them there after hitting them in big cities. Yea we don't take kindly to big city folk who don't drive bmws around here. You should come over one day.

I am actually in the fence between a hard top or a vert. Do you think you would be pissed off and act hostile if you saw a guy (lets say me) driving that tan interior 328i? I will admit I kinda like it. I like converts but every time I see a convert i feel the guy driving it is kinda like tom cruse (not manly and kinda gay and weak). They wear this quarter pants and blue or red polo shirts and have this gay smile on their face with some cheap sun glasses. I dont know. Even if I have a chick next to me I would feel kinda open and insecure driving a convert or a wagon. You know like the feeling you get when you cant pee properly if another guy is looking at you. But I love when i see girls driving them, once saw this one cougar driving a e36 down sh1. looked good. I was in a "sports" wagon. no kidding, this actually happened around 2009, 2 chicks and some guy put some garbage bags in the interior and flood it with water and were driving around Auckland in very little cloths. It was all over the news. next week 2 chicks crashed one into a truck, it went completely inside the truck. drivers were okay.
