Would like a full set in good condition if possible.

Anyone? It's for my early (1983) e28 so has to be a steering wheel with a "coarse spline" hub to fit... apparently. Thanks
-
Yes please. nzstar set ordered. A late present to self for father's day!

He has no WOF, does that mean no insurance?

Idiot things previous owners have done to your car.

Probably not silicone at all but more likely a glue. If it's solid like concrete then possibly an adhesive (like araldite). Might have to be ground off and then repaired. -
Mine started runnig like a dog some time back, apparently for no reason. It wouldn't idle without me keeping the revs right up. Managed to nurse it to a garage. Turned out to be a loose hose (see pic)

Looks kinda nice as it is

Yes to the RCs. They look really tight in there. Do they rub?

Thanks Johno (and everyone else) for the advice. I have figured to keep my diameters close to the same I need either 205/55 or 225/50 on 16" rims. The closest would be 225/50s, so why do you suggest 205/55 Johno? Are they cheaper or perhaps safer on 7" wide rims? What about roadholding and comfort? And which will look better? Or am I just being a dork now?

Good point. Wheels are 7JX16H2 Driving is around town and highway.

I've finished cleaning up my set of second-hand BBS wheels (see photo) but the tyres on them are shot (especially that one in the middle). I'm told either 205/55R16 or 225/50R16, but which? And what brand? The choices and the range in costs are bewildering. The car deserves better than cheap imported tyres, but at the same time I am a reasonably sedate driver and cost IS an issue. Any advice out there?

I agree with Heath. So far 20 members have helped to sustain this thread. Enough already!. Clearly it was started to provoke a reaction and we all got sucked in. Can I suggest we all shut up now and leave Cliff to play alone.

Now on TradeMe Click here! May not sell, but worth a try.

I am told by 'super' moderator _Mark_ that I have to put a price on them. How does $150 sound for the lot? That'll buy me one new tyre! And if there's no interest, I suppose I can stick them on tardme and see what happens there:)

I have five wheels [165TR390CH] fitted with five tyres [Michelin TRX 200/60]. The tyres (except the spare) have tons of tread. The spare is good enough for a warrant. At the moment they are still fitted to my car. Any interest?

Anyone know where I can get one? They are 86 mm width. I can get them from Pelican Parts (on-line) but that'll cost about $US55 incl postage - ouch! Any other sources that anyone knows about?
-
Thanks, appreciated
-
If they jittered would that be an easy fix? I ask because that's what mine do on my e28?

Thanks to everyone for your help. I have to confess that I nearly stuffed this up for Matt. I was so p'd off that the guy reneged that I sent him a vitriolic text telling him what I thought of him, only to discover that the deal was back on. Had to apologise even tho' I still think he deserved a good bollocking. Huge thanks to John from me as well. 6% interest fair Matt? Dad

Yeah that's the one. thanks Mark
