Everything is going well so far for the car to be there on the 31st. Window went in yesterday, fixed all the rust on the sills with Ray from Chubb Racing Ltd ( rollcage.co.nz ) Great guy!! We got all my lights working, park lights, tail lights all indicators. Great bunch of guys. Even fixed my exhaust leak and power steering. Learnt even more today, so building the car is teaching me =D Off to get authority card signed off tomorrow, hopefully gonna get it back real quick as i've organized to fax it to them. Then its booked in for a WOF check Tuesday, if authority card comes back, Ill do what's needed for a WOF before Friday and have it booked again for a WOF on Friday. Ill post pics soon.

If you want to pay the gas from a big V8, isn't the 4.6is or 4.8is the best option, as a package?

Got a REPCO POS gear knob before the last track day and I go easy on the gear knob and it was coming loose and coming right off every 10 laps. So I'm after just a factory one that clips on, none of that aftermarket stuff that adjusts or whatever to different cars. Thankksss

Drove Race car over the bridge with Matt. Fitted new window at Gavins, drove X5 to HellBm fitted new accelerator pedal, perved at Josh's old 330ci, drove E30 to chubb racing ltd, found out sun roof is leaking. Drove X5 home =D WHY IS IT RAINING WE USED TO HAVE GOOD SUMMERS!

Doesn't need to fire up into another debate.EDIT: Don't worry Glenn, I know I don't have the skill level to do it thats why I wanted to know the process so I could find out what I could do and what I would get help with. Words of wisdom there. A Mod should sticky that or the whole thread. REALITY OF BUILDING A PERFORMANCE BMW if a e30 series car, can be put under that. Um, you hit it on the head for me though Josh, because building the car was real hard for me and its not finished yet. But that track day cost me over 300$ excluding food etc and I missed out a couple of hours with my coolant problem. But even then I had used all my fuel up. Thats why its really for sale because I know I won't be able to afford the running costs it'll have, and once its ready I can't really drive it on the road so 85% of my money is sitting in the garage for 80% of the time. Thats why I wanted a M325i and wanted to play with the motor in that ( espically after I saw that race car video =) I know, I can build another car up much better than I did with the E30 because the E30 I had paid maybe 2-3000 of labour bills, that weren't needed. So if I got 7500 for my one, I think I could run a Road E30 fine. Even easier with a job. You really did hammer because that what I need a car thats good fun on the track and road but is road friendly and with a change of tires becomes a real good track car. And Reliable

Hey Mate, Yea, I know what you mean. I'm starting to think I might just invest another 1000 into the race car and get it road worthy. So much easier. Im losing round 2000 on it at the moment at its sale price so might keep it a little longer... Would be awesome to come for a run in the famous dudlee =D Ill definitely be at the anniversary meet so see you there.

You have no idea. hahaI've got a few job interviews coming up, once I have a road car ( they insist I don't come in for one til I have a car ) Super Cheap Auto and a few other smaller places are interested in me part time so if they come through ok, I will save up over time for all the parts for a 2.8 ( cheaper ), will take me awhile and a couple of track days in a M325i til get it all then another month or two to be ready to put it all together. Once I have a job it's what I'll be saving for, along with insurance, fuel, and the expenses Andy mentioned.

Someone buy the Blue Car and Ill go buy Jamez 325i end of story and im not flip flopping just trying to see what options I could have. =) Im deciding what I wanna do before I buy something instead of buying selling buying selling buying selling etc =D Yea, I think I've gotten bit obsessed with power after the track day cause the race car was so slow haha who hasn't had that short phrase where we just want more and more power.
