  2. you can always borrow my multimeter =)
  3. Yea thought I had it sorted today. Ill ring tomorrow morning if I wake up =) Thanks a =)
  4. Ok. Im a total idiot. I checked the voltage at the fuel level sensor not the pump which is not under the rear seats but in front of the passenger rear wheel. So got a replacement pump of Ray which really I didn't need because we found out we weren't getting any power to that pump which we ( Matt45 and I ) connected directly to the battery to find that the original pump was fine. So f**k. it wasn't the pump, and im a clot. Got the multimeter and there is 12 volts between pin 30 and ground. But on the relay there is only 87 and 87 b but there is no voltage there. so I think i need help =( Learnt heaps today with matt pulling out the fuel pump and how that works. and what a few fuses do but its hard to understand over the phone. Few beers and Ill come get ya and drop off if someone wants to give a hand =) THANK YOUUUU
  5. Yea just bought a multi meter from REPCO. Checked the voltage, ( hope im using right ) got it on DCV 20. But turned the key and checked the voltage going to the pump and its like 12.61 etc changes heaps but always has 12 volts. If I did this right THANKKK YOUUUUU DAVIDDDDDD ( SILVER FOX ) So the pump is stuffed? Anyone who has one i could buy or at least test so i know its the pump round Bucklands Beach Auckland? =))
  6. Thanks Santa for axle stands and radio sport decals!!!!! Merry Christmas all!

  8. wow..... do i need a multimeter for this?otherwise my mind is blank on all that. haha fck im useless. but yea as andy said I put my relay in his race car and it didn't healthy at all. Compared to his relay....
  9. heres a vid of it starting with the relay in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uDHcVvNjr4 and heres a vid of it starting without the relay in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su8ofWwS4Nk
  10. holy sh*t just did my first mechanically smart thing with this car. I thought if its the big ass fuel pump relay thats faulty then if I take it out and try start it, it should make the same sound. So I took it out and tried starting it and it does the exact same thing it did with the relay in it. So is it the relay? You guys agree?
  11. No we didn't check that one. Just went and took it out then in again with no luck but can't really be sure without a multimeter or another E30 to take the fuse out of. =)
  12. nothing what so ever when i turn the key.... we tried yesterday if any of another e30's relays and fuses would work ( fuel related ones ) with no luck.
  13. dumb question but where exactly is the fuel line in idiots terms.( how do I check the rely? )
  14. yea 100% sure its got spark. Im starting to think its the fuel pump just a bit weird if goes that instantly. like 1 hour ago ( at the time ) it was fine started first time. park it for 2 hours, then nothing. right before xmas haha so everyones off on holiday =)
  15. Tried to start it too move it into the garage. see here what its doing =( right before christmas and new years and sadly my track debut haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EItzHbVbfL0 I am a complete idiot so i don't know where the fuel line is so I can't check that without some guidance. Its getting a spark, and there is alot of fuel in it. Any ideas =(
  16. Might have to rebook to another track day, as car has suddenly decided it doesn't want to start =(
  17. Long day working on the car in the sun with my anonymous friend who I can't thank enough for his help =) Anonymous took the car for a spin and straight away said brakes need serious attention! So someone please help me, they only start working when you are like half an inch from foot down. Took dash out, removed facelift dash loom and fitted pre facelift loom, went all good. Took rubbers out from under the rear springs, so sits about 10mm lower went all good....... until we tried to start it too move it into the garage. see here what its doing =( right before christmas and new years and sadly my track debut haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EItzHbVbfL0 Its just not firing, its got a spark, rung a few people and theres nothing in a E30's dash wiring ( the wiring we touched ) that controls the engine in anyway. And since its dead I can't get it to any mechanic so posting the video is the only way I can really show anyone what its doing. Please please please if anyone has any idea what its doing or would like to come help after xmas, that'd be awesome, got a pack of beers ready =D Im in Bucklands Beach =)
  18. So found that lots of the nuts on the exhuast manifold are missing. Thanks for Nathan ( Brams ) I have new nuts for them but Im not sure if the exhuast gasket is shot or not? I don't know how long the car has been missing the nuts but while ive had it its been on and off a trailer and driven to east tamaki and back. Do I need to replace em or should I be ok?
