No bids, 20 minutes to go. Seriously. Bargain.

Auction finishes this evening - someone will get a bargain... https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=2016626982

Nothing wrong with the old Magna/Diamante - sold them new back in the day, also had a VR Magna in Aussie that had a third pedal... jeez it was a great car, and cheap as chips to buy.

Good spot - it pulls that from the rego. Odd.

I need this off my driveway so am auctioning it... I've got a buyer at $2750 (which is crazy value), so that's where the start point is. Someone will likely get a bargain... and I'd like it to go to a good home as with a little love it would be a beaut wee cruiser:

I've seen something I want to buy but need this gone pronto.... any offers?
Like y'know... even silly(ish) ones? I need some $$$$ and some space on the driveway!

The term that comes to mind is lipstick on a pig. You'll have the opposite of a sleeper; all talk and no action.

Wasn't looking for one but it was too good to pass up at that price. All I've spent on it is $150 for a coil pack.
Brent, how many kms on that 3L engine?
Dayuuum... may need to adjust the price on mine a bit.

Buuuuuuuump... I've seen a couple of potential options so am keen to shift this pronto - get in touch if interested.
Cheers

Ad seems a bit half arsed - could be a great buy for someone depending on what exactly the "cosmetic issues" are. Also odd that they've only had it a month (says the guy selling the car he's owned for less than four - haha).

Cheers Kyu but unfortunately Rudi doesn't address my practicality challenge ?

NZ New six-pack compact; coming up to 193km.
Here's a link to the specs: https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/ae21063 factory sports suspensions and seats (tho not M sport).
I've not had it long, but circumstances have changed (our other car is now a Swift), so I need something more practical. It drives well and is reasonable nick for the km's - sporadic service history but it looks like someone's looked after it. With a little love (and perhaps a third pedal), it could be a wee cracker.

Good stuff Brent!
If anyone wants one similar tell 'em to give me a shout - I need something more practical (ie: bigger).

Someone needs to buy this... mine's only a poxy 2.5 and it's a hoot!

Almost identical spec to mine - but no sport suspension...
or... you could have my one, with 170-odd more km's, and around half the price!

Maybe because I'm rapidly approaching 50; those Alpina B5's (B7's, and even B3's) look the business inside and out - refined, subtle, classy, powerful, and relatively understated.
Do I think they're worth as much (or more) than the relative M car? Not on your Nelly... completely different market and to me, nowhere near the same value.Having said that - very few buyers would be cross-shopping an Alpina and an M3/5 so it's a moot point, like most others.

No more than I must be looking at this one: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1869040774.htm

Yeah, they had it for months - and it owed them (far) too much which was reflected in their asking price. The presentation left a bit to be desired which worked in my favour too... the main thing was it drove well and has been looked after so ticked the boxes for me.
I just wish it had a third pedal. If you do decide you want one, let me know (as I'm contemplating something more useful for a 2nd car that gets little use).

Which one is?
(genuine question - I've not a clue which 4/6/8 is the most reliable? Aside from linking complexity to reliability).

Many did - haha! But I meant after I sold it and bought something cheaper/fun-ner... picked up a 325ti but jeez I wish it was a manual.

Only drove one wagon - felt like a boat; and it was brand new... it's taking all of my powers to not hit BN on the $5k white Ralliart thats currently on TM lol!
