Hey Team Just wondering if anyone knows the name of these mags please? As i would really love to own them. Thanks Richard
-
Hey Brent do you have a picture or part number of the seal so i can check out what part your meaning please? i could be interested. Thanks

Hey Team small update so had the touring our on the drive way as normal had a little rain through out the night. Found a little puddle on the front seat and knew the leak had returned. Saw 2 small droplets on the sun visor so knew it was in that proximity Wasn't till later when i looked into it further that the front and rear driver side footwells also had gotten wet. Spent the Sunday pulling the liner down (also intend to redo at a later date as sagging) The drain tube was still attached and draining fine, so sat in the car with a hose going on top of the roof. Bloody culprit was a rubber grommet that the sunroof cable comes through. Just loose enough to allow a small drop every 10-20secs to come through. Silicone sealed it and will retry once it has cured.

Hey Kyu No real reason really, just what they provided in their premade control arm kits. but heard both are good options/brands. Oh also the life time warranty is a bonus for all parts.
-
Hey Team So finally got the goodies from FCP EURO delivered . two big boxes of goodies, I didn't bother taking the stuff out as you'll get to see it all been used once i start the swap. But purchased a fair bit of things. All gaskets and bolts needed for the M60b44 swap. 2 sets of valve cover gaskets. 2 sets of the FCP 16 piece control arm kit. Will be doing a full over haul of both cars suspension. Almost there and ready for the fun part of fitting all these parts.

Thanks Kyu will chuck the white style 135 on the sedan and see how they look.
-
Hey Team Got the tyres sorted for the style 95 and look much better now on the touring. I'd personally like it to sit another 30- 40mm lower but ill leave that till i get adjustables for it.
-
I agree Kyu Hopefully the new tyres suit better
-
Hey Team So changed my mind about the wheels on the touring and decided to try the style 95's on to see what they looked like. Couldn't really get a good gauge as the fronts wouldn't fit due to tyre size and rears fitted but are just touching the shock housing. So in the process of sorting some smaller profile tyres and putting the style 135's on to the sedan which i think are better suited for. Also a nice surprise this morning. Yes yes Charlie ( EUROLESS ) I should really finish one car before the next haha but couldn't help myself. Have purchased this beauty which i will eventually get to once im ready on the touring. Just going to let it sit on the back burner, but very excited! Oh if your wondering what it is, it's a supercharger.

No Probs Ian thanks for your help too it means alot. if you want more closer pictures just let me know. Thanks
-
Hey Team So got a nice surprise today wasn't expecting it as UPS told me not till Monday. neck minute....... look what's arrived.
-
yeah saw those too, would love to have them but not for a daily driver. Maybe when i have more funds, currently got to prioritize where to spend the moneys and which car to get finished first.
-
Great minds think alike Kyu, I was just looking at the Hamann's on line. Currently found 3 sets for sale so but didn't know what they would look on the car. Now i know they actually look pretty good. Could be tempted to get a set.
-
lol that could be the new style, you could start a new trend Kyu what wheels are you selling? these 135 are of a e60 so are et20 offset. If you have a lower set offest set of wheels I could be keen.
-
haha camber? there's enough room between the guard and wheel to fit my fist in there. if it was lower by 5cm i reckon it would look better.
-
Hey Team hope you all had a great weekend. So managed to put the style 135 on the touring, at 1st i was like ah maybe i chose the wrong colour. But like the ones on the sedan which are plastic dip the colour is growing on me.

Hey Nathan yeah i did use the calculator and got the correct figure, also knew there was going to be a exchange rate fee from the banks but didn't think Schmiedann were going to add it to the invoice. So was going well for being under $400 till i got the bill from DHL saying it was over. But no biggy just happy I've got the bearings now.
-
Hey Richard I managed to keep the purchase about 8 euro under the $400 nzd threshold but Schmiedann added the 5.50 euro exchange rate onto the invoice which bumped up the price $4 nzd over each box ( split the shipping of 2 boxes) so got stung $125 each box! Rung Customs and try to discuss my point that i didn't think a bank fee should be part of the purchase price of the goods but they said it was so yeah, couldn't really say no as i do need the bearings. $65ish for GST $49ish for entry and $15 admin fee.
-
No worries Jon, So finally got the conrod bearings. Once i get the block back from the engineer I will be installing these and hopefully get the beautiful dry sump on too
-
So managed to get a free hour today to tap the new thread into the block and the new bolt in. The oil feed hole wont be needed on the m60 chain setup.
-
Haha thanks Charlie took me a while to get what you were meaning about the books. Im like the guy that reads 10 books and never finishes them The e46 isn't finish, far from it to be honest but do have most of the main bits, just waiting on others to do their job that holds me up and instead of losing motivation i thought ill just get a daily driver to keep me busy and then next thing you know you want to do more to that car. Just a snowball effect. I genuinely love modifying cars, I know it cost a lot of money in doing so but i enjoy it.
-
Hey Team Finally got the engine onto the stand, spent the day dismantling more of the motor, have got it to the point where its ready for the M60b40 bits and manual swap. Managed to get the tires on the wheels but still need to balance so doing that tomorrow. Bolted the head parts back together so i would lose any pieces and so happy i had that old fuel from the Touring as it made cleaning the block so much easier. Slowly getting there.
-
Hey Brent i took the clutch to Geartech here in Palmy. They outsourced the job to MP autoparts in the wellington area. they did a very nice job on the rebuild.
-
Hey Team small update, bearings are in the country and unfortunately got stung with duty/tax was $5 over the $400 threshold due to bank exchange rate fees FML. But it is what it is and i wont be making that mistake again. On a positive note manage to get the old clutch plate relined, pressure plate, release bearing reconditioned and additional clamping force added. Well worth the cost compared to buying a factory new one.

Hey Team Small update My trusty mechanic Master Gee to the rescue with his impact gun. Managed to undo the Jesus bolt in 10secs. Also picked up the freshly powder coated wheels for the touring. so over the weekend will look at putting the tires on the mags and back on the car, also some more motor dismantling too.
