On the lookout for a replacement ABS pump for my 130i - part # 3451 6778484 01 VIN WBAUD52020JM27512 if anyone know can supply one or point me in the direction of one would be much appreciated 😊

For the uneducated like myself, does the 130i have a thermostat or is it the temperature sensor that controls the cooling fan and temp gauge? If this was faulty would you get an error code showing up?

had @promo [great speedy service from Pramod] he scanned the car and it turns out the ABS hydraulic pump needs replacing. Any advice on what the part looks like and where to get it would be appreciated. Would this be what I am looking for :

This warning thing appeared today...had been for about a 20km trip...parked up for about 30 mins...then drove about 20m and this warning appeared along with the run flat warning [dont have run flats] ...are we looking at a faulty sensor ? scan required? any advice would be appreciated...thanks

Success, turned out to be a loose hose from the booster, reattached securely and all is well ?

wouldn't you know it took car to friendly mechanic today to check brakes and on the way there brake pedal was hard and when they did a couple of tests drives brakes performed normally ??? so i guess need to monitor situation ?

Had scan done ...see attached....and battery check showed as weak so it looks like a new battery is required .

No fault codes appearing..if it is the booster would it be wise to replace it ?

Yep when the car is parked with engine off the brake pedal feels the same as when driving?

At the moment when you first drive the car the brakes seem very hard to use like you really need to stand on the brake pedal to stop the car? Sometimes after a bit of driving 'normal service' resumes. Any ideas on what could be the issue? does need new pads in the next 5000kms.

Having discovered the joys and challenges of owning a Bimmer have been looking at Bimmergeeks Protool, Carly and other similar apps. Would anyone be able to recommend one of these apps? There seems to be numerous ones available on the Playstore.

No, previous owner installed new battery about 12 months ago when old one failed.

I believe the battery is less than 12 months old
