A cost effective but labour intensive option would be to print them. Wouldn't have that OEM feel though.

There are very very good printed copies on eBay for not silly money, but there's just something about Magnesium that my bank account can't resist.

Imola red E39 M5 in Akl (plate = AWSUM5)…no pics sorry. Assume there are very few in that colour in NZ. Apparently 79 total in RHD.

One of two Imola. Not sure if they're the basic comfort seats or the speccy E38 "comfort" seats, but it has differing seats.

  3. Longshot, but I'm after a full set of parts 2 and 3 if there's some tucked away in somebody's shed collecting dust.

I've got two sets of NOS centrecaps (5) if you wanted to do a trade of some kind.

Also, the M6 bolts (4) are a slightly different length from Turbines to Throwing Stars if you've got those tucked away as well.

That was my experience with the one I had in the UK. Nice car, certainly, but somehow not as engaging to drive, and the expectation of useful boot space was only that - an expectation. You could get a bit more in it than the boot of a coupe or 4-door, but not as much as you'd expect. Now, if BMW had done a 2-door wagon version, like the 2002, that might have been better! (Even with no more space inside. )

DID SOMEONE SAY 2-DR TOURING E30?!? I would do shameful, sinful things for one of the four Luchjenbroers Tourings, especially the BBS kitted ones. https://www.e30.de/fotostory/f02340/f02340.htm

  5. When we were in 4th year at uni and needed to clear our heads, me and the flatties would do what we called "the hot lap."  Auckland - loop of the coromandel - Auckland. It was an awesome way to waste some fuel (when 96 was $1.60) and spend 8hrs listening to music with the windows down.

We're older and wiser now, and the hill from Coro airport to Matarangi is now fully sealed, but I still love blasting those roads to get to the beach house.

Is there a better colour than silver that shows just how pumped the quarters on an E46 M3 really are? None of the darker or pastel colours can match imho, and yours looks so bloody good with the 18x9.5's.

  6. What's the budget? I've got an E90 335d I'm looking to move on:

2011 M-Sport with HK sounds, 19" BMW Performance wheels wrapped in PS4S's, new intake manifold, a host of work done so I could do 20,000km a year reliably and use it as a daily.

    1988 E30 M3 - listed at $125k.

    However, TM description says:

    "Damaged import check

This vehicle was imported into New Zealand with obvious damage or deterioration. This alert will not appear if the vehicle had superficial dents to some of its body panels."

Which doesn't mean it is a bad car - lots of M3s were raced, significantly crashed, rebuilt, and sell for BIG money. Just something to be aware of.

Evo 3 front splitter, not an Evo 2 front spoiler, the side skirts aren't Evo 3 (no such thing) and have been repainted gloss; not the factory satin, the premium audio speaker enclosures on the rear parcel tray are on the wrong sides, and if that's the park setting for the wiper arms, they've not been put back correctly after removal. At $125K, details matter.

Evo 3 rubber seals between the front bumper /wings / headlight grilles though, so there's promise of potentially more choice goodies.

  8. Bored on a Saturday night, crunched the colour numbers of MT2 still on the road in NZ:

    6 Lachsilber

    11 Diamantschwarz

    4 Alpinweiss

2 Delphingrau ( @Palazzo is your old one still on the road?)

    1 Zinnoberrot

    5 Sterlingsilber

    4 Brilliantrot

    UK Sports: 1 Lachs / 2 DS / 1 AW / 1 Delphin / 1 Brilliantrot (C2 2.5 Alpina) / 1 Granitesilber.

    Japan Mtechnic 325i's - 2 or 3 so far.

There will be more, and there are plenty that have been written off.
