as i was aware, ac schnitzer do "engine kits" which consist of bolt on engine mods, that the bmw dealership do for a decent price. He may have got the ac schnitzer engine mods and not the bodykit etc altho is that an ac schnitzer kit?
-
they're not that nice looking tho are they?

ok thanks, so the piggyback is the way to go then?

would any of this be worthwhile doing to a fairly stock car? with light mods? Im thinking of getting the Jim Conforti chip E28 85-88 535 Jim Conforti Performance Engine Software [JCCHIPE34540] $249.99USD Bonneville Motorwerks tuned engine performance chips, developed by Motronic expert Jim Conforti, provide the ultimate in performance. The modified Motronic software, optimized for 91 or higher octane gasoline, adjust the ignition timing and fuel curves which results in increased performance. We have dynoed Jim Conforti chips and compared them to other brands and found they provide the best performance throughout the entire rpm range. Along with performance increases in both torque and horsepower, Jim Conforti chips provide the maximum competitive advantage through raised engine rev-limits and removed top speed limiters. Peak HP gain: 24@4000 Peak TRQ gain: 29@2000 Rev limit: 6800 Thats some serious hp and trq numbers for not much cash, with the exchange rate as is, i can get this for about $350 at the moment or i suppose a better idea would be the piggyback idea? incase bigger mods come later?

M30 Dogleg 5spd manual gearbox, lumpier cam, finish off my exhaust, maybe some custom extractors, some blaupunkt car audio, Jim Conforti chip, a port and polish, etc oh and maybe a bimmersport sticker

yeah i reckon, 200kms is not always a bad thing, better 200kms of warm long runs then 150kms of cold short runs

e36 m3 wheels, im not a huge fan of them, you will have to track down some 4 stud replicas
-
looking to do light sounds but wont be able to afford a sub for a while what better sound quality would you get outta of eitha two 6" with seperate tweeters and 6" in the back or Same for front but with decent 6x9s in the back? I myself have been led to believe that you get better sound quality out of 6", altho get more "bass" out of 6x9s im not looking something that offers the loudest bass, unlike a lot of car "modifiers" but very much looking for the best sound quality cheers sparkle

in an E31? i think thats highly debatable
-
its an E12, the owner must have put in the wrong year, that m badge could be genuine E30stz, it could be a E12 M535i, which was the M5 of the E12, the one under this was a 528i. If this is a genuine E12 M535i its rare as rocking horse sh*t, and if i had the money and knew it was genuine and not just a e28 engine swap, i'd be bidding. It looks like it has E28 metric bottlecaps, which are a bitch to find new tyres for, so it could have had a engine swap, i might ring up about it. (03 3651072) Sparkle
