The e36 M3 & ACS mirrors dont fold in thats one great reason why people stay away from them. 1g a set doesnt look all that good when they are hanging off the side of the car after getting hit. Give your dealer a call and see if your ride has the wire loom for the electric fold in standard mirrors, other than that you could have a look at the rep mirrors. Once again if you dont have the plug for power how are they going to fold??

aliluya from what i can tell uve already got the chrome tail pipe so the cheaper option is gone. Have you given Retro a call about the Remus?? Also MSAN from memory has a Remus on his ride.

Theres a good reason im sure why you get different set ups for different engines. Ive been looking for a SC for my 1.8 non VT and i havent found one yet.. Please prove me wrong. Still you would have to get alot of custom work under the hood to get it to work. Investigate for sure but if you are more for show than go why bother $$$$ The chip does seem to have a good wrap from what ive read but as u said its a burn on job and personally im not to keen on that. Exhaust ... from what i can see from BM pics of the sports kit doesnt your exhaust turn in and point down rather than pointing straight out???? If thats the case then you will have to go for a new exhaust. Can you get a pic up of its rear end??

Yo Ummm i could be wrong here but i think ACS exhausts are re branded Remus Products. Apart from that i have heard they are pretty popular and a great product, give the NZ agent a call. From memory these guys arent cheep when you compare what you pay in Europe found that out on air filters myself. Filter wise i wouldnt expect anything near 10% alone. One thing you should get from a filter is a deeper sound and hopefully the feeling of free acceleration... Thats from my 6pot experience so dont quote me. Doing anything like a professional induction and extraction system should give performance gains but not like supercar stuff also remember that the more you breath in and out the more gas you go through. Try out a performance panel filter that will fit in the standard air box. A good one should be between $100 - $200, that way you dont have to worry about spending up large of an induction system first up, Retro should be able to help out there to. If youre just going for the look then why dont you get a BM chrome tip that will just fit straight on to your current set up. Does ACS do a slip on ?? Cleaning wheels is still a hands on job but hay the things you have to do...... If you find some stuff isnt going to move off those rims hit with some white methylated spirits.

Aliluya on the e39 & e46 you have to turn on the fogs after start up as power down re sets them to off. I cant say that the fogs give me better vision up front but they do light up the sides little more. During the day obviously they are a hell of a bright compared to the park lights and thats the only reason i put them on.

Cheers mate those BBS rims are looking great on the M3, how do you find the REMUS.Correct on the pic of the e36 with GruppeM, was the only one i could find short notice. I have a feeling that the CDA wont fit the M3 but ill have a check and let you know. Closer to the time ill have another hunt around for induction kits, one thing ive found is that u dont buy this stuff in NZ they over charge something stupid. Spending any money on a car is a waste of money, its just so fun thats all

yah ts a 99 318 so no valvetronic in this baby, just a straight 1.8, shes just as quick as my e36 320 until you head towards the early to mid 100ks and the six pot just pulls. GruppeM, yah isnt cheep but im not one to play with engines so look for the best in plug & play. Joe @ HTR (Hyper Turismo Racing) does a rep GruppeM which is meant to be the dogs which i think is about $400 cheaper than original ?? www.hyperturismo.com or http://www.e36coupe.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=15 Unfortunately i bought a BMC-CDA for the e36 but doesnt fit the 1.8 but it made a huge difference in performance and sound so stepping up a level i know wont be money wasted. Glenn lets just say i get bored easily and work to hard... She's a 5spd manual and sounds like a moped with a little pea shooter coming out the rear. Ive been a little slow to do anything to this one as ive been taking apart and put back together the e36. If anyone needs advice on interior dismantling let me know im an expert First up for the 46 is a ACS exhaust and most likely a GruppeM Induction kit not all at once but in short succession. Aim of course is to keep people honest and to get back some sort of thunder from under the hood, miss the six pot. She's already got the sport Suspension so wont touch the undercarriage until i hve to. From there on it will be all cosmetics, M3 rep or M tech front bar, ACS roof spoiler again , Silver ACS CF interior panels, Rouge Engineerings short shift with ACS gear knob, ACS wing mirrors with lots of little things in between. Most likely will go for the M tech Front and get ACS splitters. Exhaust will be on by the end of the year for sure.....but all in all a two yr project tops
