Please dont kill a 535is for conversion tho, kill an E32 instead
-
All you can use is motor & box. Get an e28 535i radiator e30.de for the mounts 5-lug - e36 struts/rear end z3 trailing arms e34 engine is best cos oilpan fits throw the e34 away when you finished. post pics as you go. EDIT - Half the e34 tailshaft should mount to an e30 half depending on your model e30 - no shortening

REPLICA - FIBREGLASS Never been mounted. MC Rallying UK made it and I brought it back from UK. Its the best fake ive seen and as straight as OEM. Is a 1 piece unit tho - I was going to cut it into a 2 piece but didn't get round to it. Id still use it but I managed to source all the real bits instead. Please pm me if you keen ill try and get pics up but you all know what they look like. Looking for $400 - (this cost me around a grand by the time I got it to NZ ^!#$&%!#&%*)

I got 89 535i SE Auto - owned for 2 years and changed oil once since, about a month into ownership. She rattles her rockers and I think the cats are clogged up but she still ticks like a swiss watch, pulls like a schoolboy, but most importantly has NEVER missed a beat. Oh yeah, almost 400,000 miles on her - beat that.

A BMW M1, you say? Isn't that butchering a famous badge? BMW is about to do to the 1-series what it did to the 3-series years ago: stretch it every which way, filling existing niches and creating new, exciting ones too - headed by a red-hot M version. The M1 badge would be resurrected on a very different beast to the landmark 1970s supercar though; this time it'll feature on the rump of the new 1-series coupe, standard versions of which will arrive next year. CAR Online has the latest exclusive lowdown on the future of the whole 1-series family with artist's impressions of the M1 (above and next page), so flick through the following pages to see how BMW hopes to pep up disappointingly sluggish sales. So at what stage is M1 development? To give the 1-series a badly needed image boost, BMW is reconsidering the M1. This project was originally scheduled to arrive at this year's Detroit Motor Show back in January. Under Ulrich Bruhnke, who recently left the company, the M division had proposed four different M1 spin-offs: a coupe, a lightweight GTR, a cabriolet and the E82 M1 touring. The latter model died altogether, the GTR was deemed too expensive despite its motorsport potential, and the fate of the drop-top was of course linked to that of the coupe. Both have now been confirmed. Since the 1-series will remain in production until 2011, it still makes commercial sense to launch the M1 late next year. The most obvious powertrain choice is the 343bhp 3.2-litre six as fitted to the outgoing M3. It's an expensive engine, and it needs work to trim its CO2 and fuel consumption, but it is the most likely motor, our sources say. According to an internal document seen by CAR Online, the M1 would accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.2sec and would reach a top speed of 175mph if derestricted. Ive got an fiberglass M-Technic II front bumper/spoiler if you want. Small amount of finishing will net an OEM finish. Its honestly the best moulded MTech front ive ever seen, straighter than floppy OEM plastic ones BUT is a 1 piece unit (no join between bumper and spoiler - I was about to cut it in tho but haven't got round to it) - its made by MC Rallying in UK and yes I do vouch for their work. I had to ship it down to NZ when I came back from UK and got reamed like $800+ air-freight for that and fiberglass MTech2 rear spolier. So, if you give me $400 you can take both. Id definately keep it but since my brand new MTech side panels and Alpina front spoiler arrived from Germany im not so desperate to use replica parts now. Also got a couple of messy MTechnic panels that could be saved - RH Coupe Door Panel (Solid but needs work) and RH Rear side panel thats a bit uglier if you can use. f**k what a spiel - PM me cuzz if keen

If it were a Hartge that would make it S36 powered which I doubt as only about 6-7 were ever made but I see you can buy the badges off ebay... Shame about it being right hook too

All BMWs have perfect McDs cup size gap either between seat and console or between handbrake lever and console - ive never spilt a drink except beer bottles sliding off the tabletop in my E34. Drink holders are teh ghey

What is the difference between Coupe & Cabrio? I am trying to get side panels and skirts from M-Tech II from Germany and can buy cabrio skirts for my E30 coupe - can these fit? Am I right thinking the cabrio has a deeper sill? Discuss

Legality of Custom BBS RS 16x11 - instant pink sticker?
wms replied to wms's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
I do actually want to run this car in D1 drift events, and 13B J-Port is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from practical. The car doesn't like idling for more than 2 minutes before plugs start fouling. This car is being built for IMPACT, but it does need to be registered and WOF'd -

As far as my research has uncovered, the law stipulates that the tires TREAD must not protrude past the gaurd - not the actual rim itself. This is the arrangement in Germany which would probably explain the existance of this look. -
You are correct - either "attach" to wheel or hub via screw/bolt or similar means ref: http://www.lvvta.org.nz/Wheels&Tyres.pdf

I am about to purchase a set of 16x7 BBS RS replicas to modify to 16x9.5 & 16x11 for E30 project. The car will be identical to this (mega dish/stretched tire) Ideal size after modification F-16x9.5 ET21 R-16x11 ET09 Size of stock rims F-16x7 ET35 R-16x7 ET35 I will buy whatever lips/spacers etc needed - An extra 4 inches of outer rear lip gives me a warm sensation in my pants. I believe max. legal width for wheel spacers is 27mm but it could be as low as 20mm max. Any opinions on spacers required would be appreciated - rims are to suit VW so are FWD offset - I hope to correct this with bigger outer lips, I just hope there is clearance for the inners and strut/etc.. Do you think this can be certified legally or is this instant pink sticker material? I can probably pull another inch of width by stretching the wheel arch sheetmetal out to cover rim. Also the car is powered by 13B J-Port Rotary (please dont judge me) so is not exactly every policemans favourite car Although the car wont fail noise tests, it does pull major attention - will the local constabulary roast my arse if im rollin on custom deep dishes? From an engineering point of view its hardly "extreme" to run wheels of this configuration if done correctly. It is very important this car is 100% correct with no comprimises to its look - I want to ensure it turns out like these examples to offset the stinking japanese 2-stroke lawnmower engine I have chosen to power her. No crystal taillights here. Please discuss...

whoa thats hot Much better than e46 IMO - e46 is ridiculous with stupid vents and bulges - only looks good in a drop lovin those test rims

PLEASE DO NOT USE MAKOTOAUTOTRENDS.COM THEY HAD SET OF CLEAR TAILS ADVERTISED FOR US$60 WHICH WAS LIKE WHOA BUT TOOK 3 MONTHS OF MONKEY sh*t FIGHTING TO GET & I HAD TO LODGE WITH IRS AND BBB IN US (HAD TO INVESTIGATE AND DIG UP LEGAL sh*t LIKE UNSECURED SITE/EBAY FRAUD ETC TO GET) VERY TEMPTING BUT WILL GIVE YOU CORONARY TRUST ME NOT WORTH IT. Even if they owe me just over NZ$100 landed. Teh gayness!$*@% Got them in the end however this is generally the first obvious (and cheapet) option in eBay... not worth it even at that crazy low price. They often advertise clear sides and corners for US$1.99 IF they turn up. A lot of people have been caught up by these so-called aftermarket giants. Mexican money scam. Oh and im still working thru the legal ish in getting their eBay account deleted...looking hopeful thou - wont stop till they stop.
