  2. 'cut standard at the front, cut honda super lows at the back.'

That's whats in it for anyone wondering, it just sucks that no manufacturers provide pre cut springs it seems to be the trend these days. :P

Have you shortened your shocks? Surely your springs cant be captive if you havnt.

But otherwise nice ride, Manual??? or just cutties and chromes? You said there was a tv goin in? Must have bigs plans for ice??

  3. Paid $5500 for the car about two years ago, a 4 door M-tec 320i, 148,000kms, 15" A/C Schnitzers, auto, electrics etc. South African made and imported. (Granny spec, straight as)

Already had a new water pump, 4 new yokohamas, all new engine belts, and general repairs done on purchase. Since purchase i have replaced front brake calipers, discs and pads and a a/c recondition.

Had some slight rust in the rear left panel, (on the back if you look through the boot vent where they all seem to rust sooner or later) grandads was a panel beater so i just paid for paint and the resources to fix it. Replaced central locking control unit as when my alarm was put in (installer services manakau) the put the relay in the wrong way which drained two brand new batteries and set the CLCU on fire  also my uncle has taught me a bit about auto electrics (as he is an electrician) so i had no labour charge for that either.

    MODS:

Chromes and tyres, $1200 brand new from a pawn shop :P They even paid to fit and balance them!!! B)

Sony xplod mp3 headunit, 5.5" component woofers, crossovers and tweeters.

    Pioneer 6x9's

    Sony xplod 12" 540 rms subs (x 2)

    2x 500rms Boss ripper amps

    Cable and sundries

Most of my audio gear was bought at cost price through my uncles auto electrical workshop.

BoGE Shortened gas shocks all round, Whiteline springs, $1200 including labour

K&N POD filter with custom bracket and heat shielding,

2 1/4 inch exhaust right through (single resonator and no cat)

Manual transmission swap, New aftermarket clutch, lightened flywheel and pressure plate, $3000 including labour.

Bucket seats 2x Black racepro arrows, $550 for both, brand new with brackets.

Passenger door trim as i had to replace due to sum fat m0$^*% F%&^# that got jelous and kicked my car in the middle of Queen st.

Random bits and peices probably add up but aside from that, i think the most ive spent on the car is god damn gAs!!!!!! :rambo:

  4. Hey all im after an amp with a rating of between 450 and 650 rms, any brand as long as it is reliable doesnt matter how many channels, as long as they are bridgeable, i nned it to power my DVC Rockford 15" P3, any help would be great!! :D

  5. Yeesh, ive never had problems with any of my sony gear, if you are on as budget i'd say its your best option, their subs seem to be pretty good to, ive been putting a bit of juice into mine and they seem to get better and better as they wear, not worse....

  6. No offence to any of you guys, but calling this car rice and all the rest of it is stupid, you think that chrome is gay? you think that anything other than standard or that has 'official licenced BMW product' on it is stupid? Why dont you have respect for peoples cars? Somebody has put alot of time, money and effort into this car. Why cant you respect that? I cant say it's the nicest bmw ive seen but it does look a hell of alot better than the original. No hard feelings, but you guys wouldn't want people saying your cars are rice i mean seriously that car is probably better than almost anything on this website. It may not be your cup of tea but dont get nasty!!!! :banghead:

  7. Hey guys ive got my car back from German Automotive, the shell they put my running gear into after the crash is painted 'schwartz,' kinda sucks as my boot and spoiler that have been transferred from my old car is painted 'diamond schwartz,' ive put my bucket seats, smoked the rears and front gingers, hard wired my radar detector, run through all my cables for the new sound system that's goin in, ive currently got 152 dB from the two 12" xplod's just waiting for the right amp and im in the process of making a custom box for the 15" Rockford. Also ive stuck in a K&N Pod filter, and a straight through 2 1/4 inch exhaust with a single resonator at the back. Ill post pics up next week when ive finished with the back seat, ive done away with the centre seat and have made a custom console which goes from the ashtray behind the handbrake right up to the parcel tray, trimmed in the same vinyl as the dash (which is also new, f**k what a mission that was) and door cards, this new console is also home to my 6x9's and 2 ports which go through the back of the seat into the 12" sub boxes in the boot, also made some permanent cup holders at the bottom part of the console aswell as another cigerette lighter, sounds a bit like pimp my ride, and some of you guys probably thinking, what have you done to this poor bimmer :drugs: but this sets my car aside from the other e30's out there. Well i will post pics asap so people that appreciate 'individuality' can enjoy my car as much as i do. :jap:

  8. Yes, stick in a K&N panel filter and your top end will benefit immensely as they flow quite well. If you have a cat cut it out as that's the BEST mod you can do.

Tane (Deftones) and I both have 320's and we've both done the K&N panel, cat removal, and manual conversion. It works.

Agreed, the best mods you can do without blowing the bank.... to much :P

  9. K&N filter and chop the cat out.

    My next 2 mods.

Totally agreed. Free up the flow B) Dnt know of any one that does manual conversions for 200 bucks

And cain, im loving the quote you got goin on

  10. I have read on another website this car is also the home to 131 decibels worth of sound setup.

There is nothing wrong with a slammed out car, if you want it for plain show but when you start taking things like this onto the road and actually destroying them it get out of hand. I'd definatly say no to cutties under any circumstance (unless it was a jappa thrash car). Get bags or coilovers. Least then you will have some control at speed and on corners.

I agree with painting the kit, clear lights are for chiks........ They just look wierd on a guys car. Go smoked. Just looks like rims and cutties though in all respect, nothing special, dodgy work on a nice car. But still PIMPIN ........ almost

    B)
