  1. I dont need a daily anymore as im working in the city and use the train every day + the missus has a run around so I can always use that :P

Im planning on working here for a while so thats why I have come to the decision of taking it off the road, pulling finger out and doing it.

Im sick of all my mates jappas and holdens pissing on me everywhere I go. Time for a change of circumstances I think :D

Andrew ill be hopefully racing if they decide to make the BMW Unlimited Class, if not I will just be doing Open days and Drags (1/4 Mile) + using it as a weekend car.

  2. As I have had no serious interest in my E30 I am leaning towards keeping it.

I had pretty much decided that an M52 2.8 would be a good conversion.

Although after driving several turbo vehicles lately I am wanting a Turbo.

Basically I have access to a M50 2.5 turbo race engine. It was built in Germany and imported to NZ for a race car.

It does not come with the turbo or associated plumbing but does have the Turbo manifold, it has been built with heavy boost in mind, is fully forged and has alot of aftermarket bits in it, basically the motor is brand spanking new.

Now ive done some research in overseas forums and noticed that M50 turbo's in an E30 are generally a VERY tight fit. I am wanting to know how easily it can be done, and if there will have to be any major chassis modifications.

Also does anybody have a contact that could carry out the installation for me at an agreed price. (Not hourly, as it will end up costing SH!TLOADS!) Depending on feedback I will more than likely be purchasing the motor in about 3 months.

I'd like to hear peoples opinions on this.

    Cheers

    Chris

Also, Josh, seeing as the S50 Turbo conversion you are doing is very similar id appreciate any links you have relating to this topic.

  3. I have the trade me Angel eyes on my car, they are sweet, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. They Plug and Play on facelift models, pre facelift need some custom wiring but not to hard.

I upgraded the LED's in the halo to super bright blue ones and they look sweet. (Not cheap at $6 per LED, you need 16)

Ive never had any problems with them.

They fit mint and have IMO better adjustment than the factory ones.

If you want any more info just holla.

    Cheers

    Chris

  4. Are you keeping the car Chris? That's going to be some stretch!

I was running the 205/40 Hankooks on the x9 wheel. That was stretch. To much I might add.

By getting the Direzzas ill be adding so extra height to the side wall which should mean they wont have to be stretched as hardcore. Also want some extra cushining (sp) for my poor wheels. The 205/40's were just to harsh.

Im not to keen to keep the E30 but at this stage it looks like im going to be. There is no market for my car (well there is a market but noone seems to be able to afford it/want it for what im asking) so ill be doing H&R springs, Hubcentric spacers, as the ones i have at the moment have a centrebore waaaay to big for the hub and also doing Direzzas, those three things should make for a hella improved ride quality.

  5. You will have to run RCA's and a REM from the headunit (guessing it has RCA and REM out's) You may as well do it properly and run a + cable from the battery. Using the cigerette lighter will only cause problems as it will only be fused to cope with the lighter and not an amp.

Do it properly, it will save you problems in the future.

    Cheers

    Chris
