  1. This one has to go also.

Very tidy and original 323i. 240000ks, 5 speed. Reg on hold, will put WOF and rego on.

Engine runs well, no smoke but has piston slap from cold. Mint as 5 speed from 1982 E21 I wrecked a while back. Interior is nearly perfect. Small amount of rust in the usual spots but this would have to be one of the tidiest original E21s around. Some bog in the rear guard has fallen out and there are a few other body areas needing a tidy up.

Good rubber and overall the paint is very good and original.

    Viewing a must!

Gave it a clean and put on some 14s now offered to the world!!

  2. Hi guys, after rolling my 2002 touring a while back I have picked up another 2002 (regular coupe not touring) without motor for next to nothing, absolute rustbucket but thats the fun part! The previous owners bought it for its tii motor that they put in their tidy 2002.

So in an effort to get it moving, I am after an M10 runner, EFI or not, I am hoping someone has one lying in their back yard after an m20bxx upgrade? Also after flywheel and clutch if possible? I am in auckland so somewhere in the top half of the north island would be great.

    Cheers!

    Damo.

Hi..I think I have a clutch and flywheel some where, cheers

  3. To find a mint M20 cam will be difficult. They are notorious for wearing cam lobes when the miles get up.I have a pretty decent E21 320/6 cam which is has enough meat on it to re-grind to M20 profile. Last time I was researching cams I had quite a few measured at Kelford here in chch and they reckon they were identical including 325i, 320i, 323i and E21 etc etc. This was discussed in depth by a few of us on E30tech a year ago looking for the elusive 260 degree duration E21/ E30 323i cam..its a myth..apparently

I have that cam if you need it..$80 Kelford will check it for you for $20 and a grind was $100 last year..

  4. Thank you, that is a very good price. Would you know what the difference between 5WK9003 and 5WK9002 is?

(I don't think the car has a catalytic converter...)

Within 40.1 are there also differences in the Siemens box or is it just the code? I would like to try and buy the ECU und use the chip from the original ECU...

Hi..I have sent ECUs to the USA, its not very expensive so to Indo won't be much. How has the surf been over there??

Send me a PM if you are interested in the ECU..cheers

  5. I believe it's a straight swap, but think you will need to change the computer to the non vanos one. All the electrics are the same, so no need to swap them or the loom, should all plug up.

A bit of mid range power loss, but otherwise the same, not a big difference at all.

Thanks..I thought the ECU had no part to play in control of the vanos as its works on oil pressure?

I will see if the guy still wants to go ahead and install it..

  6. After one of these if someone has one handy.

    Item 1

Long bugger that goes at the base of alternator with loose nut on the back. I cant find anything long enough in the bits box/local parts shop.

I will probably have one somewhere do you know the length exactly?

  7. Hi..looking for the piece of loom that plugs into the yellow socket on the back of the gauge cluster and has a green plug for the OBC..plus a few other connectors. Looking to retro fit OBC into my 1990 E30 320i

    Cheers
