195 000 now, done manual conversion and stupid enough to use mostly 2nd hand bits but have had no trouble with it, power steering need attention asap but really cannot be bothered as i have a spare rack which is mint, havent done a cam belt yet it was said to be done when i bought car 3 yeas ago, but will get it done soon. I think i have only put about 8k on the clock!

haha this thread is so funny ive spent the last couple of mins reading it. I used to have a pod filter on my 320i and it sounded pretty cool , but i think its just your mind playing tricks on you if you think your car is now more powerful.. So i put a k&n I took off my parts bmw and put the original stuff back on, looks nicer anyway.. sounds deeper but only when your foot is flat and the engine is straining.. holla

I still cant see how water was getting through the silicon sealed up rust hole before i found it, was quite well sealed! hope fully once fixed it wont leak anymore i dont want to find any more probs!! Rust repair without having to remove wiring from loom hole - $168 gets done next week, not too bad i thought ??

Need the part that consists of the two aluminium tubes coming in through the firewall, that then screw into the passenger side of heater box - this is off a ac model not sure if they are the same or not- part must have a NON leaking thing on top of the top tube (dunno what it is but its the bit that has the two-wire plug on top of it) THANKS!!

hah i was looking at them thinking excatly that! so will do tomorrow until a have a replacement part of the bit that it leaking! Also found out i have best of both worlds, heater leaking and today i ripped out the rubber housing round where the loom enters the car and found sh*t loads of rust! wasnt impressed as the car has been fully re-painted in the last 3 years and it had been patched up by silicon sealer - pretty sure this was done by a restoration co in chch (thanks a lot) !! so into the rust shop tomorrow i really dont want to know how much this will cost
