yeah man bottle caps are cheap to replace so do it youself! you can get paint at repco, and primer, i guess a light sand, or a decent clean with proper cleaner and spray?

All fixed! absolutely butchered it but it works fine, i got rid of the blue bit and grinded down the nylon one piece bush inside it and wholaa it fits! I cannot belive how short it is though i think z3 might be a better option as the throw is wicked but the shift knob is barley above my console haha. Cheers i can post pics if anyone wants/or is looking at buying one- $90 off trade me! bargin for a b&m copy !!

yeah ive already tred, but what im saying is i think the universal joint has to be higher then the factory to keep the bottom pivot in the same place cos when i put it in my factory mounting its was lower when you get under the car and look

not on my shifter as the ball bit has to be higher so the bottom pivot stays at the same hieght,( so i dont think i can just fit this one into the exsisting universal bushes) so the blue bit needs to be put in im sure of it, therefore needing this other type of shifter, i could probably butcher my one i have now and make it fit but ya know its a lot nicer having the right bits.. anyone got the part ?

how can i tell? mine is held in by two allen keys maybe 6 or 8mm?? otherwise i may just sell the shifter....dammit!! can i get a shorter throw any other way gearbox is getrag 260 from a 88 320i

Hey Just got a b&m short shift kit , went to install it and found my e30 cant take it with the (older?) shift holder, the bit that holds the bushed for the universal joint... the are two kinds and im after the aluminum one i think, its the one without the foam stuff?? Help please i would love to install my new short shifter!!

I was just looking at parts & accessories for bmw and there is a total of 55 auctions?? theres normally hundreds but then all the other car parts and acc is the same for other makes?? What the?! And has anyone noticed how if you hit latest listings you dont get the whole lot anymore? only like about 30 auctions in a category? Pain in the ass!! Its getting worse!!!!

went to look at it, its VERY tired, possibly has a cracked head and definatly has a blown head gasket, i think its a replica M325i and IS a 1983, as the car wasnt originally silver, although its got sport seats doesnt seem to have the right looking engine, i might stil try buy it anyway if i can get the right price, but wont be selling my car!! Doesnt have black headliner either and is an auto, and the wheels are pretty curbed.. Thanks

i just had this problem, it was convienient as the carpet needed taken out of my car at the time, id suggest firstly lifting the carpet and seeing if its wet underneath, if so take the lot out and let it dry, Its probably either the rubber grommet is leaking that goes round the loom, under the glovebox, and you may have rust around it, ( cost me $180 to fix ) or could be the heater overflow is blocked maybe, this is a rectangular shaped thing beside the battery located on the firewall Cheers

yeah its the ' 1983 ' lol more like a 1990, i might go have a look today, also drifty 325i with your project does it mean your old engine would be up for grabs?? I kind of want to engine transplant and tidy it up, but i am pretty busy with tech and work, not sure yet.. ill go see it first.

There is a write up somewhere on the net ive seen, that suggests e30 coupes are EASY to break into...see if you can find it?? thats about all the help i am sorry, may be on pelican parts .com

hi have found a m325i really cheap that has a blown head lol , thinking about doing it up as it has ful mtech 2 otherwise make mine a replica, any interest in my car or parts from a m325i in chch area?? body kit would not be for sale but all other parts would.. thanks!
