the vents r real sh*t. but i think it'd b much more fun owning a e36 m3 than a newer one, the older it is the more u can do on it urself. ppl say bmw's arent drag cars, nd they arent, but an e30 325 isnt exactly slow, it is if u compare it to a done up jap but stock on stock it would rip up most cars! just my 2c...

I was just wondering if it is worth ordering bmw parts from the US, even with the shipping charges most things still turn out to be cheaper, but i just want to know if any1 here does it regularily and where from? eg. oil filter, fuel filter and air filter = $117.30 here but at http://www.AutohausAZ.com all the parts come to $48 approx converted to NZD and shipping would be about $30USD! thnx

well a 2.5L e36 cant take the same as a 2.0L. The 2.0 takes 6 and the 2.5 takes about 7.5! ill ring up bmw on monday just to make sure. i think i'll buy everything online, it'll still come cheaper afta all the shipping costs! ill let u know how it goes. thnx!

yea thats true. I think if you do an oil change you'll need 6L to fill it up fully! hayne's said so...but i'd like some 1 else to confirm it too. thnx!

I rang up team mcmillan in auck yesterday and they quoted me: $36 air filter $15 smtin oil filter $50 smting fuel filter + GST all of them so came to $117.30 inclusive GST for everything. Does anyone know where i could get it cheaper? and they say to use Castrol 15W40 oil. thnx guys

cool thnx! yeah i know how to find out what's what but it would be faster if it already said somewhere! i dont have the radio manual but have the car one, is it in there? what is a loom, and how much are they? i went to Paul Money Stereos today and found two head decks that I liked, for my price budget of 200-300! one was a Pioneer mp3 for $248 and one was an alpine $325! i really could not see the difference, the guy just said alpine had better sound! both same features (mp3, 4x50W...) what do u guys think? anyone know where i could get a good deal? thnx

so is it worth buying bosch over ngk's? oil filter $20, does that sound ok? where can you get a air filter from, a stock one? thnx

nice sig! yeah thnx 4 tht every1, i've read about the whole replace seals if you use a flush thing as they start to leak, so i'll prob just replace my oil with 10W40 Mobil or something, but fully synthetic! and get NGK spark plugs unless Bosch cost roughly the same! one more thing, what does like '4+' mean in a spark plug?

where do i get a feeler guage?well originals are bosch, so unless they're that much more expensive i'll get them if not then NGK's as i've only heard good about them so far!

yeah i wish but on the inside they're fully rotted away, in that picture that's probably the best one out of the 4, the driver side door got so bad that you could hear the wind as you drove, i'll prob order them from Jerry Clayton, at least they offer a discount if your panel beater orders it! thnx anyway

yeah i'll do the filters, well oil then the others a bit later! any difference between ngk and bosch? do u put the oil flush thing in just b4 you replace the oil and run it for a bit then all the 'gunk' comes out with the oil change?

My car's due for both, an oil change and spark plugs! Its an e36, m50 engine! What sort of oil should i use and how much do i need? what spark plugs do i need to get, i heard NGK's are pretty good but Bosch are bmw's proper ones, what do u guys recommend? I dont not want platnium ones! any help apprechiated thnx
