Looking good Scott. You've come a long way with that and glad you did it all properly and not get too eager to get it on the streets too early shot bro
-
Shot Scott. as said before dude, looking mint a and can't wait until ya finished it. Know how much hard work you've put into this one
-
hahaha I will be careful who I sell it to as it does have a lot of power even unfinished and would hate to see it smashed up by someone that can't drive. Not really after a quick sale, I just can't justify asking for more when it's not finished. Main reason is I'm struggling to find time to finish it and it's pretty depressing looking at it sitting in the driveway hardly getting used or worked on so almost seems a waste in my hands at the mo

Looking good Scott. Coming along nicely bro
-
Wicked. Thanks Darren much appreciated. If you're free and don't mind at some stage wouldn't mind meeting up to show the mate the setup and get some tips with mine haha but will give you a bell soon. Thanks again bro Cheers Rob
-
Definately would be the starting point of the funds needed and from there is dependant on the setup you wish to run with any aftermarket parts and it soon adds up and is very easy to go through those sorts of funds too, the majority is in custom work so even better if you know a fabricator

haha oh sh*t. Not really much I can do with my car but with those laws imposed seems like my license will be revoked just by having a noisy car As gus mentioned, I know people with harleys that would easily drown out the sound of most cars yet the new law is not specific to those types of vehicles. I can totally see where the need for something needs to be done, but needs to be done in a fair and practical manner for all motorists and with consideration to all parties involved (hope that made sense haha)

It's definately a smooth and at times intense ride with the RB's in the beemas. The engines are strong and reliable but the downfall of this is the euro technology and structure of the car is not too well suited with each other. The biggest I would use in an E30 would be the 20DET but even that comes with a few problems but the 25 in my mind, altho unique compared with most other conversions is unpractical and very expensive from other conversions. The RB's are the only straight 6's I know of (other than orginal BMW engines) that are used in E30's but these days the sky is the limit with conversions but off the top of my head am not too sure which other 6's would fit in there let let alone with any ease sorry haha and for sure, the amount of fun had with the big 6's is awesome to say the least
-
Hey dude. I've got the RB25DET in the E30 and to tell you the truth with teething problems and the amount of custom work that needs to be done it is far more worth it to stick with SR20 or smaller engine. The RB20's are easier to do but the 25's just take up far too much room than what is in the engine bay. If you want any info on it just give me a PM but good luck with whatever conversion you go for

Well if you're in the car bro it's all good But agree with the comment made if you make an effort include Taniel even if you think it's just "boy stuff" it would make the trip a lot more enjoyable for her. But in saying that she has to be prepared for anything to happen and go with the flow to get maximum enjoyment out of the whole thing

The guys above have got it right. You need something to keep them back and under control hope they don't cause too much sh*t along the way. lol
-
If you were to sell instead of trading them, how much would you be looking at? Cheers Rob

Hey dude. Yeah a lot of people feel a little uneasy about touching the brake boosters in the beemas with the conversions. Best example with brakes I've seen so far is Darren (SRBMW) as he has had them all changed. I'm still a little apprehensive at the moment about the heat generated on the booster side. I've got a LOT of heatwrap and stainless heat shields on that side but this is only temporary until I get the 5 stud conversion and GTS-t brakes on there. My advice is to go to a person who deals mainly with brakes and upgrades and get them to work with the people doing the conversion. You don't even have to use a beema booster but they will have the best ideas and a price for the parts that will best work with the setup you intend to run. Good luck for it though bro and thanks for the comments guys..........good or bad it's still feedback I can work from

Hi guys, Have one of my p/plates for sale if there's anyone interested. Looking at $400 for DVSBMA (Devious Beema) Either drop me a PM or text me on 0274 588 073 if anyone is keen. Thanks Rob

haha sorry guys I just find this terribly amusing. Can understand both sides but in all honesty I think if you can't read the posts that a couple of people put up then don't read that particular post and continue on with the thread. Don't mean to start anything with anyone but think it's simple......people will type differently to each other all the time and not really much you can do about it unless you either block their access or the person posting changes the way they type. Like I said not wanting to start anything with anyone
-
haha the things ppl do for things like that. Amusing as hell tho
-
that's right man, quite a few conversions done which are very unique, gotta appreciate ALL of them cause hard doing that on a euro
-
Hi guys, I dropped one of my light casings last night and it broke now (funy that haha), was wondering if there's anyone out there that has front left lights for a 90 E30 318i or know of anyplace I could get some at a gd price?? Thanks
-
could be an option for sure, I just haven't really looked around at the different options yet as concentrating more on finishing the engine and all the electronics before worrying bout the diff cause will only give way if I drop the clutch hard so any ideas and approx cost (if ya can) would be greatly appreciated

I work for Castrol NZ and there's HEAPS of different oils that can be used but if you want to know what the recommended oil or viscosity to use in your particular car just PM me the year, model of your car and can get the manufacturers recommendation but the type of oil you need to run will be relative to the running temperature of the engine and believe it or not can change quite dramatically amongst some cars even if they are from the same manufacturer and/or model. But agree with what a lot of others have said as long as it is gd oil (doesn't matter what brand) it will still protect your engine very well it's really only when you get into the peformance and racing side of things that you need to be picky with the oil.lol
