the whole family together
-
wow, they are bigger than my shoe!!!
-
mmmmm, big red Brembo's.
-
Yeah as Sam said. Divide by the diff ratio 3.46. Nice to see it has over 300nm from 2500-6000rpm, peaking at 390ish. Sam: They all have a 0.70 comp cover, I would be looking at a 0.86 or 1.06 turbine housing (prolly the 1.06), with a 56trim comp wheel. Run that mother at 1.4bar (20psi) and she'll be honking!!
-
That is basically what a GT30 & GT35 are, but they have a ball bearing centre.
-
Just have to leave the car for 10mins to spool it up then quickly jump in and let her rip aye.A nice GT30 or GT35, should easily see 400rwHP then.
-
Here are the power & torque graphs FYI
-
Thanks Sam, Yeah, 218rwKW is plenty for now, when one of the little twins blows I'll go to a big single. Long term goal is 300rwKW (400rwhp), although that is only another 82rwKW away, shouldn't be too hard then!!

Well I finally pulled finger and took the E30 to one of the Dyno days here in wellington. It was predominantly R32 & R33 skylines that were running. The 4 other cars I watched were: R33 GTS25t: 183rwKW (exhaust) R33 GTS25t: 190rwKW (exhaust) R32 GTS4: 177rwKW (exhaust FMIC LINK 18psi big turbo) R32 GTS4: 280wKW (as above but on a 3.0l bottom end) I managed a very respectable 218rwKW, which is alot more than I was expecting and 2nd most powerful vehicle of the day. Just to piss you other E30 guys off, it was making 120rwKW @ 3000rpm thats about the max hp rating on a 325i at the flywheel!! I will post the graph when I scan it in on monday.

I have no Idea what wreakers want for them, make me an offer if you like!!
-
What format files does the program need?? I have done a few in Autocad for my brake modifications and camber plates for my 323 gtx (could prolly modify the model for the E30 easy enough)
-
Just make sure they are hub-centric. This means the wheel has to fit perfectly on the spigot on the hub. If the wheel is not hub-centric the wheel bolts are under alot more load than they are designed to handle. The spigot on the hub it what is designed to take the load, and the wheel bolts just hold it in place against the hub face. If you look at the WOF reg's I believe it states something similar for aftermarket wheels, most places are too slack to check though!! But I'm sure the police/insurance companies will if you have a decent prang!! my 2c

Complete trailing arms (disc brake model). In good working order. Comes with brake mastercylinder for those upgrading from drums. $400 the lot

and the mounting bracket:

As the topic states, must have for regular track abusers. These have been certified for road use on my E30, so on any other E30 it will not be a problem. They are a bolt-on upgrade. Here are the specs: 290x26mm 2 piece rotors Evo 4, 2 piston sliding calipers Caliper mounting brackets and mounting bolts Note: A 16" wheel is the smallest that will fit over these brakes!! $700 ono Here are some pics
-
here is a pic with the machined aluminium centre cap on. (the wheels have not been cleaned in this pic)

My 16's are for sale, they very well suited to the E30 I feel, and they are made to fit the E30 (no hub centering rings or spacers req'd etc...) $1300 with new Goodyear GS-D3's (205/50) on the front and near new Toyo T-1S's (225/45) on the rear. PM me if you are keen.

318Touring: The GS300 is a real nice car and it has easy HP advantages too, a 2jz-gTe will bolt straight in, esp if it is an auto, then just plug it in with the supra ECU. There is a guy on www.toyspeed.org.nz that has a 2001 VVT-i 2JZ-GTE forsale. A friend has just bought a E39 540i (with the 4.4 V8), and I must say it was awesome, I believe there is one forsale on the cnr of abel smith st & cuba st, $39k with 18" M5 wheels (replicas prolly). Looks stunning, might be worth a test drive Daniel!! My 2c

mmmmm, 18" Compmotive MO's. Got spare body parts to sell to afford them??? The last set I saw forsale in the US were for $2200, 2nd hand!! My 16's are for sale, prolly not as bling bling as you want, but they are very well suited to the E30 I feel, and they are made to fit (no hub centering rings req'd etc...) $1300 with new Goodyear GS-D3's (205/50) on the front and near new Toyo T-1S's (225/45) on the rear. PM me if you are keen.

I've done a run with a G-Tech Pro. Taking off like my mum I did a 14.07@105mph. Tried to take off quickly the other day (I was near home, so not to far to tow it if a CV exploded), What a joke, as soon as it starts wheel spinning it just doesn't stop!! I'll stick to taking off like my mum!! Till I get a LSD!!
-
This is my favorite. Other than my own. One day I'll have a M30 powered E30 that looks like this.
-
Good choice Grant. Momo Corse is top of my list. I don't actually own my wheel, just an "borrowing" for a "while" It is a very comfy wheel, definitley a hard choice between the Corse & Race. I'm also "borrowing" a lovely Momo Anatomico (long) shift knob, very nice!!

Fair call on the safety features considering I'm sure corolla's come with some pretty decent safety features, I mean really, how many airbags do you need!! You must be a bit crash-phobic willing to pay $20-30K over a corolla for 2-4 more airbags, I doubt it has enough power (318) to warrent the DSC+T, I know in the inlaws mini cooper you have to driving like a retard before the little light flashes. another 2c

Personally I don't see the point in spending $60K+ on a "small" sized car. You are really paying for just the badge!! The only good thing I see with the compact is, It's rear wheel drive!! Just comparing to other new cars, for $60-70K you can get a Evo 8, STI 7, dare I say it, XR6 Turbo, SS commonwhore etc... Which is a whole lot me car for the same money. What about a new corolla?? $45 for the GT version, 141kw, 6psd, still a "small" car. But obviously they are performance based cars which may not appeal to you. A normal corolla has a heatly 100kw, still more that a 318, and are around $35k, and easy to insure. Don't mean to ditch BMW's but they aren't always the best car for the purpose. just my 2c
