    E30 1987 318i Auto

And make sure Andrew hasn't flogged the Disc brake rear-end out of it!!
  2. Thanks Guys. Yip the Big 25 today. I'll be sure to have a few (too many no doubt) on your behavles. Tim, drop me a line, we'll arrange something.
  3. The Good Year GS-D3's are a very nice tyre (I had them on the front of my E30). What dunlops were they?? Direza's (replaced FM901's)?? The FM901's were pretty good, nice stiff sidewalls.
  4. Yeah, sport contact 2's are a rip off!! Get some toyo T-1S's priced up, I bet it would be 1/2 that, and perform just as well.

calipers bigger than your shoes, and discs as big as dinner plates, hahahahahahaha......

You'd be sweet going up hill, down hill would kill them, unless you have...
  7. Yellow aluminium and red/green steel, spherical bearing c/o SKF. Prolly not Sam (depends what Lewis's tools can do). You shouldn't be changing the camber on the fly anyway as it effects the toe settings also, so should only be done when getting a wheel alignment, but if you check what is changes when you get an alignment it might be OK. you don't need to move it far Gus, so no gaping holes req'd. ps. that green bit at the front in the pic shouldn't stick out past the yellow bit, still fine tuning.

    To paint or not

Ho Hum Facelift M-tech II scum To much plastic not enough GO!! depends what colour your is, oh thats right YOU DON"T HAVE ONE, yet that is. TGIF and almost beer O'clock too!!!
  9. Sam, I put up a tread about rear camber and toe adjusters in the past, they are easy to design just installation is a biarch (pulling the subframe out and welding them on etc...) If you can afford some GC camber plates for us to copy then that is fine. They are pretty simple to design, infact I've almost finished it, just a few measurements I still need to do. The green part has the spherical bearing the the strut bolts to, this is clamped between the red and yellow part using the red studs that go to the strut tower, you loosen the 3 mounting bolts to slide the green plate (strut mount) in and out to change the camber.
  10. Andrew, are they the bilstein sports, or just replacement bilsteins??
  11. Does yours already have the motorsport 17's?? 17x8" front & 17x9" rears??
  12. If you are putting them on your 540 best get genuine M5 wheels. The replica's only come in 18x8" where as the OEM ones are 18x8" front and 18x9.5" rear (the rears ahave a nice big dish on them so it is easy to spot the fakies). Besides you can't fit anything wider that a 245/40 on a 8" rim = ghey, on a beasty 540. Here is a pic of a E34 M5 with the E39 M5 Wheels (genuine ones that is), note the lovely dish on the rears.
  13. I have Koni's, get my thumbs up. I will prolly be going with a coil over setup using eibach springs as part of my stage 2 mods.

That looks F*#king kewl. Very trippy
  15. Since my E30 is in alot of pieces at the mo I am going to design some camber plates. I will be speaking to Lewis (SpeedyE30) about the manufacturing costs etc... So hands up.
  16. I think we have already been through this, I'm at the front of the que, based on having the MOST UN-USEABLE HP on the forum.

here is one from wgtn a month or so ago.
  18. If it is just that dent on the outside, chances are the wheel can be fixed. But I'd imagine the control arm and tie rod look pretty banana'ed under there.
  19. The Brakes Sam?? Prolly allow 2hrs, stuck bolts etc... You may want to check your MC size, I thought the later E30 had a bigger one than my stock one?? I'm running a E32 750il MC. They are only $350 brand new anyway.
  20. Well I did have some wheels that went over them.Sorry Gus, don't mean to tease. But yeah, sounds like your discs aren't up to the abuse. The only real solution (not bandaids) is bigger wheels and bigger brakes, or, drive like a granny.

    My new rims!

4 red and black axle stands They look a little small and sit along way under the arches.
  22. sounds like the discs Gus. The stock ones are shite, too small and too thin to dissapate the heat generated at higher than normal speeds. what are you doing driving at 120 anyway!!
  23. E30-323ti

    My new rims!

Glad to see you are happy with them Lewis. They look awesome on your E30.
  24. I still got the jamex's waiting for you evan. $200
