I got some Bosch Micro Edge blades heaps quieter than the near new supercheap ones it replaced, cant remember what brand they were thou.
-
If it doesn't have the 218HP not really worth it then, who would buy any US spec'd engine.
-
its not nz new . apparantly he says its a OZ import .
so then i asked him about it being the low compression engine with less power and he hasn't answered me yet .
the OZ market got the US spec'd engine with only 8:1CR so only about 180HP instead of teh NZ new and UK/euro spec 10:1cr 218HP engine
Yeah your right, i looked it up on carfax and thought it was NZ for some reason.

Yeah slogan is pretty bad. If they interpret it as racist they wouldn't be the first to have a cry over nothing.

Yeah sounds like an actual transmission problem if its loosing drive. Guess you dont know what the fluid level and condition are like having no dipstick
It should go into limp mode with TRANS PROGRAM ERROR and be stuck in 3rd with reverse but that usually electrical failure

Was it something that was only with the 520i e34s?
Nope, it was available on every BM 1991+ as far as i know. Not really sure why there are alot of 520i Individuals, I was thinking it maybe it had something to do with them starting production in 1991 also.
Here a picture i have on my PC of 750il Royal Highline Individual, hard to get better than this

What does this whole "individual" thing mean anyway?
Program where you can choose special options(mostly interiors and paint schemes from what ive seen) that arent part of the std option list.

On a similar note... Why does my PreFL M20B25 have no O2 Sensor on the downpipe?! Was trying to replace it the other day, lucky I didn't buy one. How does the big car brain know if it has the mixture right??
fixed setting iirc

My friend has one of these in his car, suits it good with the red & black light combo and pretty cheap.

Didn't know there was anything wrong with it

I know its not but what it was saying the procedure isnt much different for a 750
-
Yeah if your using BMW ATF will cost a bit more but otherwise imo not that much different. Would think the E36 should cost more in theory having to pump the fluid into the sump.
Guess alot of the cost comes down to what the hourly labour charge is.
-
thanks
does anyone know how much i would be looking at paying
$400
My mate got one done there recently on his E36 318i was around $80-100 i think but he supplied the filter.

Hillcrest Auto Services in Hamilton which is pretty close to you im guessing .
Owner is an Ex BMW mechanic and still serves alot of his old customers. Knows his BM's very well.

Pretty crap compared to the UK one in every aspect. Ive watched all the episodes upto date and dont think ill bother anymore.
Yeah i hate that dude with the moustache too, reminds me of a rat
-
You sure it just doesnt need new tie rod ends or is it the whole assembly?
-
I got some 75W90 from here recently, think alot of places have it but i find it easier ordering off the net.

E34 still is semi-trailing arm. E36 (bar Ti) onward would have multilink id say
