If they issue you with a ticket for this, and you insist that you are on your way to get a WOF and rego then they will usually put a little bit on the ticket saying somthing along the lines of "unless compliant within 14 days" or somthing similar - I got caught in my mates GT starlet a couple of years back - he had no license and I was taking it in for a WOF, told the cop what I was doing and why, and he still gave me a ticket, but with that little 14 days clause - needless to say the ticket was cancelled about an hour later - made the pol pol station my next stop after the WOF....But as has been said above - if your car aint legit, then you deserve the ticket.

that would be because your car is a M325 - the normal e30s have chrome trim.It would be personal preference, but I think leave the grill chrome - its just enough to subtly break the black on black theme

Well, you could have this: or this: or this: (mobile picnic table) So sexy: Or just not at all - bro you dont need a wing - they just add weight (ist that somthing you are trying to save on?)

Ooops.... Stink for him - those clubbies a awsome. Id agree that he would have to have been going at least 160, thats massive damage and if he hadnt hit the curb that may have been worse for him in the crash - I think he would have been airborne when he hit the bmw (only a little 4cyl jobbie but nice wheels!) and hes pretty lucky that he didnt barrel roll it in mid air - that would have probably put him into more than 8 cars. Just imagine being on the lot at the time... "...Yes this car is as safe as they come, but it also has power, comfort and ... WHAT THE f**k WAS THAT??? .......... HOLY SHIIIIIIIIT!!!....."

um, if the diff had no slip in it (to allow the wheels to spin thier different distances going round a corner) then you would have a locker or a locked diff (or any other name you might no it as - ie mini spool) and they are a hell of a lot of fun!My mates RB20DET powered commodore has a locker and it makes it a hell of a lot of fun - it definitly doesnt suck to get sideways with minimal effort and because the wheels are spinning at even rates, it makes the vehicle easier to control (whilst sliding) - it is, however, a mission to go round corners like in a car park or somthing - it turns heads tho! I would have to agree on that, theres an E36 320i lurkin around here somewhere with 19" M3 wheels. and Ali put the 18s(? think they were 18s?) off his E36 onto his E46 so they seem to work both ways. The way it seems is that the 3 series offsets are the same across the model range, and the rest of the bmw family are interchangeable. And then you get into the metric wheels - how do those puppies work? I know they are off the older bmws, but how are they essentially differnt to non-metric wheels?
-
whats a rear wheel drive?? :mosh:
-
the offset is differnt - you cant put wheels from a 5 series on a 3 and visa versa, but the 5 series and up apparently have the same offset so in theory you could put wheels off a new 7 onto an e34 etc
-
damn that is very nice!!! :mosh:
-
Haha ... i get that everyday ... But man, I assure you, Evan gets the funny looks for a hell of a lot more sinister reason...I can honestly say, I would be going for an R32 skyline or buying a Cefiro or a Laurel, finding a rolled bowled and assholed GTS-T and transfering the running gear with S14 front brakes, and you would have a primo skid car (and probably enough change for a good set of coilovers)
-
That first pic, is that an Alpina front? Im trying to decide if I like it or not.... Off topic, but those M3 style mirrors were designed to hold spotting impliments while they cool down.... You'll see what I mean at the Mega Meet....
-
what about black tyres? Or are you going White Walls... :mosh: :pimp:

straight up, bugger all that bullshit, buy a Hilux (like the one on trade me at the moment) V8 Hilux Surf Landcruiser with 350 chev Somthing like these - I saw a green single cab on trademe yesterday but the guy was withdrawing it because it was sold. Either way, a V8 toyota 4 wheel drive would be an awsome way to spend 10g - Ive seen a Landcruiser with a 400 chev in it lighting up all four and crabbing up the road (on mud tyres) - so thats a hell of a lot of bang for buck and ITS DIFFERENT!! its what Id be looking for next - to tow my drifter!
-
Huh??? Anyway, welcome aboard and enjoy your stay
-
yeah happy birthday man, drink a dangerous amount of piss and spend the next day suffering!! (thats a great cycle a!)
-
Holy Damn thats nice!!! It really suits them! thanks for that.
-
haha try and buy that sh*t - you gotta give them your name and address etc - I think you may be thinking of something else because Isopropyl is used in the manufacture of Cannabis Oil...That GHB can also be known as "mils" (cos you take em in 1ml doses) - and when you dont drink alcahol you dont blank out...
-
haha nice - I wont be doing that speed around up there man - i was up there from tuesday until today - and the amount of police i saw was astronomical - considering i can go for a week of travelling to my old job with out seeing a cop, up there i was seeing a good 12 - 15 per day!! (even more whilst travelling thru to Napier this afternoon!!)I'll consider anywhere - I dont mind driving to work - as long as I can get my baby (bmw) out of site of the road (pref shed but im not too worried) Ill be happy! EDIT: Yeah for sure - Ill probably come thru on tuesday afternoon or evening when I get back up there and have my motel sorted. If you could pm me your number ill get hold of you or ill just get hold of gus Cheers for that man, im sure ill find somewhere - until I do Im in a motel on the company! Yeah definitly man - that went down really gravy when there was nothing else to do - and it was really great to meet you and put a face to the name - nice car by the way - you were right the tri-spokes do look better in real life (I dont usually like them!)

Hey, Im currently on a job transfer that will see me move from working in Takapua (an hour south of Napier) to Te Kauwhata (bout 10 mins south of the Mere Mere Drag strip) Does anyone here live around this area? like pukekohe (not too sure how far up the line that is) or Mercer or Mere Mere etc... Im basically after a few contacts round the area (you know how it is - move to a new area and leave all your mates behind etc!!) or if someones looking for a flatmate or knows someone looking for a flat mate that would be flipping brilliant! At any rate, no doubt ill be in Auckland a bit when I move up there - there doesnt appear to be a hell of a lot around Huntly or Te Kauwhata!!!
-
got a pic of that?? im trying to imagine what that would look like!!
