  1. could be that there are little radio transmitters in our heads... or maybe the people its worked for have metal plates in their heads that act as booster stations or something? im gunna try that now...Have you also noticed that your alarm will disarm from a greater distance at night? You would look pretty stupid in a carpark disarming your alarm with the remote by your head....

  4. umm .... there were cars in those photos ! that was one that didnt load when i posted that... Even then, rephrase it to awsome observation if you want to get barred up about it...
  5. it is right - window glass doesnt just blow in when its smashed - because its safety glass and made to shatter it will fall both in and outside the car
  6. Its america Evan - chicken is like part of their staple diet - be thankful we live in a country that has an abundance of red meat!!!
  7. just found a picture of it... for those of you who dont know what vehicle i mean, its the orange one at this end of the line up... more commonly seen as a soccer mum vehicle....
  8. obviously straight line speed is no match - but we werent trying to pass him - thats the whole point of following someone......you may have seen the bighorn i mean - its orange with "bignoise car audio" all over it and 20 inch chromies... - he runs all the soundoff competitions... and it goes around corners like nothing else I have ever seen!
  9. HA! sure they do - the stories ive heard about humble ole maccas.... either way - thats gross!
  10. but having said that, what GTX hasnt done about 3 gearboxes and 5 clutches in their time? As soon as they get lowered the CVs get pushed into the gearbox further than they should be and that causes added strain on the gearbox. Shortened CVs are the way to solve that problem. In an N/A I dont think it would make a hugely noticeable difference... Your probably better off doing a whole aftermarket computer and getting it dyno tuned. I hear link computers are pretty cheap, but then i also hear that its like car audio - you get what you pay for... from what I understand, Haltech make good computers (along with apexi and the like - but im not sure they make them for euros) - try advanced imports or beyond perfomance or somthing similar up in auckland, but im not too sure how well they cater to Euros - it would be interesting to find out...
  11. the man said he wants show not go - therefore i stand by my previous statement - AIRBAGS!!! if done properly, airbags can handle alright - Wiremu from Bignoise/magwarehouse has airbags in his Isuzu Bighorn and it out handles a lot of vehicles around here... try following him up the napier-taupo road (was passenger in an evo 6) and we were stuggling to keep up on the corners...
  12. yes, please post the link, i remember seeing it in an email, but didnt get much of a story with it - id like to know!!
  13. I posted this in your for sale thread... so im just copying and pasting the applicable bits.... Anyway bro, I think slammed, white wheels and a really glossy black. If your going to do a body kit, get Mtech II or somthing similar - nice and subtle. tints all round, big sounds. This will incorperate low and slammed on its nuts - AIR BAGS!!! go on, I dare ya!! Just flag johnny down in that blue civic on white wheels and airbags - hes a dealer for them in Hawkes bay, He said he could get my E36 going up and down for about 4g... capish?

    station wagon

you cant be damsxy bro - one of my mates has already got that one... (white evo 5 with no wing) but you can surly get some other plate....Anyway bro, I think slammed, white wheels and a really glossy black. 15. cutting out the infected (affected, but rust is like a cancer, so i say infected) and weld in plates to replace the metal that got cut out. Thats how its done isnt it homy? Its how we've always done it in my mates shed... (actually, that probably means its the wrong way then!!!)
  16. get a rot@!!!!!HB GET A DIESEL YO!!! the ultra in economy performance....Seriously, dont!!! Haha happy birthday man, hope you had a great one!
  17. haha exactly!! Evan bro, when your out of control, ABS isnt going to save you - its my experience that hitting the brakes when your sliding only makes things worse....
  18. Hey, welcome back G-Man, good trip? From the pictures youve got it definitly looks like you saw a few things and did some cool sh*t! MMMMMM Dinan M5 - say no more!!! and a genuine shelby?? far out - thats some rare sh*t!! (like finally finding rocking horse sh*t after all the years of checking behind it every day!!! )
  19. in the E36s they have almost a trap door uner the front bumper - you undo the little bolt and open it up and it gives access to the spotlights. Mine did have that until i hit that damned cat about a year ago, now i dont have the inner guards... I would think that the E46s would follow a similar format, surely they know that someone will want to replace a bulb when it blows...
  20. because you need all the help you can get in the event of an emergency situation. Whereas the big old 5 would just barrel on thru unharmed, because its made of metal and not sardine cans (oh wait, that was our old datto wagon... but the same applies...)Seriously sparkle, when you get it sorted, if there is anyway that you can put the costs back on the old dodgy guys, do it - if they are the reason for the sensors being bung they should have to pay for it! I did that when i got the rear brakes re-built on my ute, the 1st guys did em, and 2 weeks later the drums were covered in brake fluid. I took it to my current mechanic who pulled it apart and said the repair was dodgy and we gave the repair bill to the first guys... good luck with it man, im assuming youve been looking on trademe and the like - I see they had an e28 that was being wrecked a little while ago... Also, Brent HARTGE535i has a few e28s kicking around... Have you asked him for the parts you need?
  21. I want one too - it'l just be a while before I have my car ready to do it! I am pretty sure that you only need a 1kg one for using your car on the track - thats all you need to compete in the drifting (D1NZ)... Its all you need to get onto manfield now - oh and cotton overalls and a helmet and a membership with a NZ car club (BMWCC is fine)
  22. but that would break them!!!How much do you want for them? I also need to track down the clear fronts a...
  23. Finally someone has the right order of things!!!!Anyway, welcome aboard, do us a hearty burnout, and pass us that um-peace pipe!! nice car a!
  24. It all depends on where - if its right in the middle of your "critical vision zone" ie level with the top of your steering wheel and to about the level of your sun visor when its down, isnt aloud to have any chips. anywhere else it cant be bigger than a 50 cent piece. Its about the same with cracks - no bigger than 5 cm or somthing. As for rust, It can have rust, but no closer than 100mm to a structural point - like on my old ute, i had to get repairs done because it was too close to where the body mounts to the chasis. No rust around seatbelt mounts at all, and that sort of thing. Surface rust (like the surface rust developing on daves guard or the surface rust along my rear side window in my wagon) doesnt matter sh*t... Ive had 4 WOFs in a row with the surface rust and they dont bother with it because it aint going nowhere fast (im pretty sure its all bog under there anyway, its been in a huge crash somewhere along the line...Hmmm right hand rear corner damage... wonder if they were drifting hard at the time?!)
  25. I havnt done a BMW, but with the cefiros and laurels and skylines etc, if we arent putting an engine straight back in, its easyest out the bottom, but if we're putting one in ive found it easier to do it from the top (with the bonnet off... obviously)
