So... I have recently done the Gumboot rally in my M3. & it ran great & didn't let me down! I know the PPI's are worth getting however are only a guide/indication. I am aware of most faults but the clutch is good, rotors definitely need to be replaced. But all in all I am glad I purchased this car goes well! cheers.

cheers guys will be doing all the boring stuff first like window seals, scuttle panel! will keep you posted.

There isn't that many Black M3's around.... how recent was this? The report only showed cosmetics stuff requires looking at, ie: Drivers door handle sticking etc mechanically was ok for klms!

Hi all, I have'nt been on here for a very long time, mainly due to the fact I have'nt owned a BMW for a while.... However as some of you might remember I have long wanted a E36 M3. so Finally I have got one. It does require some work but cosmetic only! Mechanicallly (touch wood) it seems good for the klms. it has 230klms!!! but with a mortgage and now a baby... I could'nt afford a low mileage one, I usually don't like anything over 150klms so I took a gamble especially after it just having a ppi done @ a local bmw mechanics then when I got home the radiator decided to split! (thanks to Ray its now fixed) but its NZ new & will give me something to tinker with when I get the time! cheers Chris.

Open to either spec. Prefer Manual! We know what price ranges these cars go for. Cheers.

Cheers guys, Will drive both & decide. Im a bit scared about the green one... but it was nice in person! Either way it would be checked first. Maybe I could get Ray to check it out for me.

Hi guys, Has anyone seen the green E36 M3 on TM? Interested in your thoughts about the price & is it worth it? Also steering away slightly from the topic... I am looking at purchasing either a e36 m3 or E46 m3 both manual not smg. which would be the better buy? Cheers.

Cheers Rod. I can tell you I had the whole hub stripped cleaned & copper greased! I replaced the wheel bearings just incase.... then new rotors sand blasted and painted my calipers & installed braided lines! My next step is to try the indicator test & put my old wheels back on without spaces, just incase. ( sounds daft, but could i try my old 16" wheels at the front just to test it with my 15" on the back)? Cheers.

Thats what i thought. Im pretty sure Hartge came standard with front strut brace, different wing mirrors & better internals!

Cheers for you help guys. I have had the wheels re balanced they wasnt out by much! So I agree next step is to contact NZAD which I see is a sponsor on here.... it does only happpen when I apply my brakes & I have only done 800klms on them! I will keep you posted. cheers.

I'm not sure!! I purchased them from NZAD in Henderson. I would be pissed off if I have to replace the rotors it's a lot of messing about... Is there a way of finding out if they are warped? I suppose I would have to get them machined! Not sure if you can do this on slotted rotors?
