Saw this one in person. Was thinking nice car, then I saw the rear and heard the sound... I guess to each his own, really. It looks like the moulding says M so it's probably an M-sport E36. At least he didn't badge it as an M3, maybe the license plate means Rotate Me?

yeh i must say for me apart from them lights thats a awsome lloking car but personal opinion is that it not the rota there is a 4dr e36 with a 13b aswell but i if was goin to put a rotary in it itd be out of late model rx7 turbo , good idea i can see alot of work has gone into this .......P.......

It looks like a tidy swap, but surley after going to that effort he could have done an EFI setup, I can understand rotary engines in starlets, corolla's, and other early jap rwd cars.

How far would $3500 go for getting some more HP from an S50 mill ? i could see that doing a head rebuild, cams and a computer for it ! and it would still be all BMW

Tidy for sure...just hope that 13b last just as long as cylinder engines :D

If this guys spent the money on an M3 then done that to it theres got to be something wrong!!!

i mean i could not think of anything worse to spend my $$$ on.

Why ruin a perfectly fantastic car?

Im just getting emotional cause i own 1.

deff not my cup of tea.

if you were going to do such a strange convertion in the first place why wouldnt you drop a 20b turbo in there

Yikes.. I hope that wasn't an m3 with s50 engine.

Would make more sense to spend the $$ on airbox, computer + cams and it's run o much better than this would.

I don't mind rota's if they're in jap cars but an e36???

Laurence.

I wish more people would do this conversion actually. Then they can sell me the S50's for a more appropriate use :D
