Modified E30: What would you do if you had the money?

If you had an unlimited amount of money to spend on an E30 what would you do? Any engine aloud, any body, suspension, brake work aloud. What would you do. Include colour, body kit, wheels, brakes, suspension, cosmetic, interior, engine, transmission etc...

This is my list as of now-bound to change over time.

Base=Face lift E30 coupe

Colour: Luxorbeige or Guards red(i knows its a porsche colour) or Polaris silver-colour coated bumpers

Body kit: M tech two kit with no boot spoiler

Wheels: 16" Deep dish BBS three piece

Brakes: five stud conversion, e46 m3 brakes all round

Suspension: Koni adjustable coil overs, H&R Springs

Cosmetic: Red tail lights, smoked front & side indicators, angle eye headlights

Interior: E30 M3 front and rear seats-black leather, OBC, M tech two steering wheel,

Engine: S14 turbo-E30 M3 ENGINE

And i think that about covers it.

What would you do?

Colour: Black with a dark blue peral

Body kit: M tech

Wheels: the ones that come out standard on the new 7 series

Brakes: five stud conversion

Suspension: adjustable coil overs

Cosmetic: black tints.

Interior: Front two Recaro bucket seats in black leather, rear seat removed, black leather door sills.

Audio: Removed. All i need is that sweet note the v6 makes.

Engine: supercharged ALLOYTEC 190 mated to a holden 6 speed manual box with commodore LSD.

Body kit: M3 style, but wider, Tech 2 spoiler.

Wheels: 3 Piece, Alloy - Polished - Wide...

Brakes: Massive Brembos/Willwoods..

Suspension: Adjustable coil overs

Interior: Recaro Buckets, Rear Leather

Audio: Nice set of Componants, Small sub for bass.

Engine: Turbocharged S50

Oh... Hang on... Thats what I am doing... Bar it's a M50..

Base: Facelift Coupe

Colour: Interlagos Blue (e92m3 colour)

Wheels: 18" e46 m3 wheels (maybe 19"s?) with a 5 stud conversion

Bodykit: custom one-piece carbon fibre front section (bonnet, quarter panels and bumper) that pivots foward, carbon boot and doors, all painted (NOT EXPOSED)

Brakes: Whatever comes with m3 5stud conversion

Suspension: Adjustable coilovers, sway bars, braces the works.

Cosmetic: DEPO black hid lights, smoked indicators all round, smoked startech style rear lamps if only they made them for f/l (with all the money in the world im sure it could be arranged)

Interior: e30m3 adjustable leather sports seats, gutted smoothed and painted interior and boot with very few other niceties

Audio: Exhaust system... ;)

Engine & Drivetrain: Toyota 2JZ-GTE VVTI with the 6 speed manual, LSD.

If it had to be an E30, I'd go and find a Ex Grp A or DTM M3!!

And cause I'd have so much cash anyway, I'd buy another one too!!

Done, just treat it how it deserves, thrash the f*#ker!!

what glenn said, buy a decent car outta the box.

will be faster (maybe) and worth more than anything that could be built

ive had plenty of e30 swap ideas...most come back to e30 m3. IMO e30s are made to be 4cylinder (driving a few back to back) and all the 6's are compromise

acs e30, 16"bbs rs wheels sticking 20mm outta the gaurds white and black, mtech2 front, sides, no rear kit, tints, and a turbo bmw six under that hood :D

and thrash the living daylight out of it, because i will afford engine rebuilds every six months!

Built in Vodem or wireless internet with laptop that pops out of the glovebox

ellipsoids, fog lights & angel eyes

one of the rear view mirrors with the map lights on it

Cup holders! ( like the ones in the new holdens that fold out from the dash)

M3 Suede Steering wheel

black leather E30 recaro sports seats (with seat warmers and massage function)

a wee bit of carbon fibre decor on the black leather door cards & dash

black headliner

tinted windows to stop my leather getting too hot

16" 3 piece BBS wheels (undecided)

bilstien & H&R coilover setup

E30 M3 brake setup with slotted front rotors and a good all round pad

adjustable rear sway bar

tow bar & custom roof racks (chains in the boot)

well lit boot relined like the back of a hilux

new solar technology in the roof to power my 12V fridge/freezer in the boot

E30 M3 Sport EVO engine & drive train setup

Good all round car for work, weekends, holidays and snow missions on those days when you feel like driving something other than your environmentally friendly electric or hybrid car. Regularly maintained and garaged.

i am too lazy to do all that crap....M3 all the way,latest possible model(i know f all about e 30s.)

As for you guys sticking holden and jap engines in....why,bmw have really high output AND user freindly engines,and remember money is no object....tsk tsk tsk.....heresy(only my opinion of course)

Im with Paul, sod working it all out, Id just get someone to stick a whacking great 750 v12 in it and do whatever it needed to make it go.

Cosmetically Id cover it with Alpina goodies :)

i think the inherent balance of the e30 would be slighty upset with that donk Martyn!(someone already said that i think)Go the whole ho and make it a S62 or S72?(the //Mv12) Edited by kiwi535

Stock leather interior. Marignally lowered with slightly better brakes and turbo s14.

Rims? 17" BBS LM's

I'd get an m3, convert to 4dr wagon, then 5 stud, huge slottled brakes, turbo the 4cyl, paint it black pearl, custom 18" 3piece BBS rims, top of the line custom coilover suspension, half cage, no audio, carbon mtech2 kit incl smoothed badges on boot bonnet in carbon also. Shaven locks, prehaps new handles, no tints, standard black leather, A/C, momo steering + SS + momo knob.

Then make an identical version without cage, and add weight in the audio depot incl ps3 compact etc...

No matter what you do, you still have a car with the aerodynamics of a brick.

Although I'd still just settle for a concours quality Evo III M3 - completely stock standard.
