Nic325i 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 No indication of reserve, and it's left hand drive - but as the seller says, that means it's how it was intended to be Nice

skidz 197 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 He wants $20,000. How do you value a left drive in N.Z???? And the rego is dodgy - number plate does not seem to relate to this car!
greenday-rulz21 6 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 Thats the guy who was selling the dodgy 535/5 speed. Wouldn't touch anything from him.
cainchapman 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 The number plate in the photos was previously on his M3. It has never been registered on that car. However, it has been registered in NZ and can be. However, his method of trying to sell it and the fact that he has f**ked that 535 would leave me to avoid him. Still a nice car though (on the surface)
Greg111 13 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 Really nice car, wouldn't want a LHD though, reading the Q&A, this guy doesnt really want to sell the the car does he, real blunt, non informative?
Grant 4 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 Quite simply, the guy seems to be a smart assed prick, and if you look at the previous feedback where he has sold cars, quite often the cars are far from what they were advertised as. However, this car seems pretty genuine.
mr E34 11 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 He seems to belittle everyone that dares ask a question. You would think a low k's lefty M5 would be worth something overseas, obviously not.
ssbmw 220 Report post Posted January 17, 2008 He seems pretty weird. He has cut and pasted elements of the advert that Global Prestige ran with their ex-Singapore black M5 they sold in November. Their advert stated that 524 rhd E34 M5 were made. He has copied this in his ad and when queried about this figure being RHD cars not LHD, he denies it, saying that it applies to LHD. More than 1 person has queried this, and he gets annoyed. Strange. Why doesn't he come out with a buy now? BTW - in terms of marketability of LHD drive M5's - I guess only in Europe...and they are darn cheap over there...
Andrew 30 Report post Posted January 17, 2008 Very odd - SY9 is on a 2004 BMW M3CSL Coupe M in Black?
maffoo 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2008 much rather have the E28 M5 thats been for sale for ages
ssbmw 220 Report post Posted January 18, 2008 Can't understand why the E28 hasn't moved. What he is asking is on the money internationally. Darn rare. The car was owned by a fastidious guy before the current owner, and he spent a fortune on it. The current owner has not really driven it and spent $8k on a total suspension re-haul. Maybe it is the background - ex Sth Africa via Japan? A decent e28 M is often twice (and sometimes 3 X ) the value of an E34 M5 in the UK
