Nokia 6300

Recommended Posts

I've sold a fair few in my shop and two of my staff use it.

Are you having trouble with it or want to find out more about it?

Bought one, just need the settings to use it on the VF network, the wireless.vodafone.co.nz doesn't have a setting for it.

nokia.com, they can often just send the settings straight to your phone

I believe the vodafone site does that aswell, you tell it what you have and your phone number and away you go.

That's the wireless.vodafone.co.nz site and they don't have the 6300 option

I've been told to try the 6230i and 6234 as they're ancestors

I have one:

my settings are .. (and I know the one your having trouble with .. it took me ages to figure it out to get MMS working!)

go into your menu.

goto -> settings ->Configuration ->Personal account settings

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Add new Multimedia msg. profile

call it Voda pxt

go into the new profile you just created and enter the following..

Account name: Voda Pxt

Server address: http://pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend

Use Pref access pt.: No

goto into "access point settings" in the same menu

Proxy: Enabled

Proxy address: 172.030.038.003

Proxy port: 8080

go into "Bearer settings" in the same menu

Packet data acc. pt.: live.vodafone.com

Network type: IPv4

Authentication type: Normal

User name: **leave blank

Password: **leave blank

the add a new profile for web called "Voda web"

Account name: Voda web

Homepage: http://live.vodafone.com

User name: **leave blank

Password: **leave blank

hope that helps ...
