joshnz 2 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 (edited) Picked this up the other night as a swap for my 320i, drives mint, just needs minor interior work to get it up to decent spec. will post decent pics at some stage edit; new pics, after lasts nights meeting with a small sized german shepard i had to clean the dirt/mud/fur off the front of it. Cale 36 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 Nice ride, must go well for a 2.8L. Looks kinda blueish from the pics.
stylish_division 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 nice man. was this on trademe? looks midnight blue to me
joshnz 2 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 Correcto, is from Havelock North, it is very dark blue in colour, goes very well for a 2.8 - quite hapy with the swap, we both got what we wanted. Oh yea, it is auto, I'm lazy and hate driving manuals.
joel 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 Drove past that all the time on the way to work, looked tidy.

qube 3570 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 (edited) nice! everything looks the part; color, sidemirrors, bodykit, foglights, clears all round only thing left now is mayb sum new rims and mayb a drop depending on the rims mayb blacked out grills and the newer side indicators but thats pretty minor. what year is it and was it a straight swap for a 320i? edit: is that a squarish bonnet roundel (not so round haha) / bonnet badge? I'm happy with the rims, and the drop is extreme as it is, it will be getting raised sometime in the next few months, will be getting grills at some point but am going to strip door cards and sounds and tidy interior before I o anything else. Its a 1996, and yes, straight swap for my 95 320i. .. the emblem is round, not square?
qube 3570 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 man wots wrong with my eyes, yea those rims r actually fine, i used to have them on my old e36 too the drop looks fine upon 2nd glance by chance goes ur glovebox sag? (common problem with interior in e36's) and roof lining sagging also. the bonnet emblem looks square :S:S:S:S nice trade! thats so awesome, id definately take a coupe than a sedan

Grant 4 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 Why would anyone swap a 328i for a 320i? Did the other guy have rocks in his head? Cheers Grant
joshnz 2 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 (edited) I was waiting for that. No, his girlfriend wanted a new car - a 4 door and liked mine, so the deal was done. Edit, my car also had only 92xxxkms, the 328 has an extra 50thou on that. Edited July 13, 2008 by joshnz
Grant 4 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 Fair enough - well I think it is fair to say that you got the better end of the deal.

Greg111 13 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 I think i've seen this around Hastings also, i think the guy who owned is a parts assistant at Karamu Holden. Looks good.
joshnz 2 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 You would be correct, he does work there ... I think thats how he got a dodgy warrant as well ... anywhere else would have failed it with the height its at, thats the first major thing I'll be sorting out. joshnz 2 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 Yeah it does, just the legality of it is getting to me, unless I get it certed, which I don't really want to do/pay for, I would rather chuck some nice H&R sports and see how it looks.
