Gus 5 Report post Posted July 27, 2008 after a blown HG on the boat anchor of an M40, I decided I wanted an M42 - sacked - something heavy in there? - full M42 + box conversion, engine crane, various bits n pieces in the back of the touring did most of it by myself so no pics, fast foward a week after waiting for bits and a few all dayers on the weekend and a quick clean - tossing between new seats or seat covers..prob neither for the time being! mtech 2 wheel is an addition by me her name is Loveby due to the plate, the M42 leaks a bit of oil and a sway bar link causes some knocking but otherwise she ain't in bad shape...looking forward to some epic road trips and a blat around the ring and this is why my neighbours hate me and think I am an a**hole - this is their car park and it's 10x better than when I had both engines and boxes out! Gus 5 Report post Posted July 28, 2008 got the engine, borrowed the hoist off guys on the zone..they are ok, not really that friendly though (have met a few whilst buying bits) i dont even own a hammer here! was sorely tempted at many stages but managed to find other tools to do the job m42 goes much better than the m40...almost feels like driving a real car...almost..
