aliluya 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Hey, i'm too interested on them. I have an E39 530i and also have handy access to a dyno which we can test the exact power gains if you are interested. Will you just have the headers, or are you intending to create it right down to the CAT ? Edited September 14, 2017 by aliluya
briancol 3 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 I have to warn everyone that these headers DO NOT fit an E36 with an M50/52 engine. Gavin from Hi-Velocity has spent over a day trying unsucessfully to fit them to my car. I believe that they fit other models but there is no clearance for the steering column on an E36. And it pissed me off, I have had to put all my engine mods on hold now till I can find a suitable set.
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 Bugga That must have cost you a few $$$ to find out that they dont fit Brian ??
briancol 3 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 Bugga That must have cost you a few $$$ to find out that they dont fit Brian ?? Sure did "Glenn". Over $500.00 and ending up with the car exactly the same, did not make me a happy chappy

*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Has anyone else bought these for E36's ?? Its a bloody shame they dont fit
briancol 3 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 probably made for LHD e36. thought it was to good to be true They were supposed to have been modified from the LHD to suit a RHD vehicle. I believe that they do fit E39/46's etc but definately not the E36.

*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) How the hell can you do that without the head on ??? Edit: And were talkin about an E36 Your talking about an E39 M52 B28 Edited December 5, 2008 by *Glenn*
Forrest 35 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 I can only think maybe he should try them on a e39 so can see if they fit for someone else to buy them off him now that they dont fit his e36?? Just my random thought
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) Brian doesnt have the headers... Its just cost him $500 to try and fit them.... because they were meant to fit Edit (1): Brian would have to explain all this....as its 2nd hand to me Edit (2): A great help out to Brian from Gavin (real nice Guy) @ High Velocity. There is no way I would spend over a day working on a car and only charge $500 including GST. Personaly I would like to thank Gavin for being so understanding and helping Brian out.
