darkwolf 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) 1. Whats the (P) light on the dash? I'm pretty sure the (P) will be parking brake. Assuming that the (!) is for Traction Control. Otherwise it might be to say you are in Park in the gearbox (assuming you don't have a manual) Edited December 2, 2008 by DarkWolf
SIR E30 68 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) 1. Whats the (P) light on the dash? Handbrake warning light - if it doesnt work check the wire that attaches to the handbrake under the little cover in the centre console, it will probably have fallen off 2. Do I need to use any sealant / product to seal the new window seals I put in? Dont think so.. but someone else will be able to confirm this 3. anyone got a bonnet badge in good nick they want to hook me up with? $10? Cale 36 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Haha (P) is park brake. (!) is brake hydraulics, should go out when engine is started. If it comes on, check brake fluid. Also, the ( ) between the two is to show brake pads low. Edited December 2, 2008 by Quailboy

tire 10 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 The (!) is not the problem! Geez. And I'm pretty sure its oil pressure mr Kale. Must be the handbrake switch then. It doesn't look disconnected but meh I'll have a fiddle. 1 down, 3 to go

Oil pressure warning Good luck finding a good condition badge for $10. The oil can is the light for oil pressure warning, so can't be (!) as well. bravo 35 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Huh????? Sorry, missed a line with the typing, realised and was editing while you were replying - man can't make a mistake around here or you get pulled up fast!!!! BTW it goes off by itself when engine is started, not when you press the pedal. Edited December 2, 2008 by bravo

bmw.maniac 1 Report post Posted December 3, 2008 The factory floor mat has a hole for the turny clip to go into to lock into place. Not trying to be a smartarse, but a tiny bit of thinking outside the square would help if you clip is missing. For example you can buy that non skid stuff that you put under carpets, i'm sure that would help.
Eagle 1662 Report post Posted December 3, 2008 I assume they are factory mates?. Mine are stock ones and dont have any slip, my seating position the back on the mat tucks under the seat forward\back adjustment nicely and holds it in easy.
