This has got me worried.

Recommended Posts

Using the site Carjam i did a check on my car and everything looked correct until i came to the milage report which is showing the following (in the pic)

As you can see there is a 868,380 decrease in odometer. Everything under the hood looks like new and never had a problem with the car and runs like a dream. Still i can't help but feel worried, Should i be ???

Mate, i'm sure you would be able to tell if your car had done nearly a million k's. The inspector most likely just keyed it in wrong.

As Nick021 says. It will be a cock up by the wof inspector at the time of inspection.

Dont be worried at all. This happens to about every second car during its life.

Highest mileage E36 I've ever seen was a 600K MILE example. The whole car had practically been rebuilt over the course of its service life... So it's not unheard of.

Hehehehe a million miles lol. Looks like a typo to me - those damn receptionists with their fat fingers always pressing keys they shouldn't

That would definately have to be a typo Highest km reading I've ever seen was on a Peugeot taxi back in the 70's .....620,000. Belonged to my boss's brother inlaw.

Edit: Cant remember...it might have been miles not km
