nath 134 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 Hey guys, I'm rather keen on this car.. bar the rice factor. Is anyone selling the missing parts to complete it?? Thinking the price is reasonable for a 3.2.. can anyone advise me otherwise? Am changing from an e46 328ci... is there much difference in driving a 3litre to the 3.2? Much like the difference between a 328 and a 330? Cheers guys keen to hear your comments. Hamish I have all the parts you need hamish- very cheap price! Greg111 13 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 Taking a badge off an M3 is like putting one on a non M3...silly (only my opinion though).

"Bogan" was a bit harsh and I would have changed the title if I could however I still feel that most of the mods done to this car hinder from it's overall look (especially considering it's an M3) in my view anyhow, hence the thread. What he does to his car is entirely up to him, if he likes it then it's all that matters. I just feel it has huge potential to look a fair bit better with mods that are more tasteful (once again, my view). I also wanted to highlight that it's a bloody cheap EVO M3 for sale and someone should "save it"! So please, no more "Bogan" was is harsh.. I take it back! Yes very cheap evo m3! Don't worry I'll save it, have been talking to the owner and think I will buy it. first thing on my list is to sort out the lights! Than possibly cut the springs and paint the wheels with a can of black spray paint haha! (not so much.)

It's previous owner had modified the exhaust which in turn altered the readings the O2 sensorsgave to the OBC which eventually lead to the computer going tits up. The upshot was that it kept dropping cylinders 5 and 6 when cold and under moderate load despite a brand new $2000 exhaust system. Not trying to put you off at all mate, just make sure (as Im sure you will) that the modification to the exhaust has been done PROPERLY. If it's been done well and serviced properly let me know. Might look at it myself LOL.
M3_Power 636 Report post Posted March 23, 2009 Actually saw this car in person today whilst I was out getting takeaways .. didn't see the owner as it was in a car park. Have to say that from the outside it did look very tidy and well taken care of. Worth investigating for sure if one was in the market for one ... Not affiliated with the seller!! Yuen 16 Report post Posted March 23, 2009 I have to say (again!) the paint looks very good. So good that I wonder if it's had a repaint. Not hating, just saying to check... because even in the engine bay it looks really shiny, and it has painted mouldings. So it's either had a repaint or the owner takes care of it really well. Paint does look really good, he has taken the spoiler off it, had the boot and back bumper painted then then front to match.. I'm having it sent into jerry clayton this week, as I live near Dunedin I cant take it in myself.. but will let you guys know what comes of it. and if anyone can get a standard exhaust let me know?? i didnt ask him but got a feeling its just the back muffler thats been changed.
