euroitalian 62 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Good rule of thumb is NEVER click on links to sites if you are not 100% sure of the content and the link provider.
Mike.Gayner 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 It's pretty rare these days that clicking a link can do any damage.

Silver Fox 43 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Don't hit that link unless you want to have your comp hijacked. Won't hurt it, but will be very annoying.

deeveus 81 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) May be an idea if an admin makes a global PM just stating the risks involved with clicking on those links. 9 times out of 10 they are dodgey sites & can upload dodgey sh*t to your machine. Then again, I shouldn't be saying this, because I remove virus's/malware/spyware from computers for a living No one in Dunedin take notice of this post Edited April 22, 2009 by X5V8
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 We are working on the problem. Its a IPBoard wide problem. People log in manually to the website and later use it for spam using a script.
Carl 3 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 I know you can filter posts but can you stick a word filter on PM's? The usual one links to *.ru could be easy to filter out.
