I run out of revs at, an indicated, 215. Probably going 5-7% faster than that.

e30 speedos do generally tend to read fast not slow.

How about 55KPH when my speedo reads 70KPH! However at around 100 - 110 it gets deadly accurate, I know this as I've had a speeding ticket at 112... thought it would be innacurate all the way through, but no.

Hmm I did know that, and I'm kicking myself now. Long week.

200-240ish depending on diff and wind conditions. Final Answer.

*Quite intrigued now, when I get my car back on the road I'll head to the track and use some new found physics formula to figure out the top speed exactly.

Mine used to show an indicated 218kph.

Fastest ive had it up to since the conversion is 225kph (very accurate) on the limiter with the 3.73 diff at Ruapuna lol, Now its got the 3.24diff it will do 260kph flat out. It will get there to!! To fast for a flying box though

From a Performance Car road test back in '89 325i Sport = 132.3 MPH or 213 kmh.

Car had a 3.91 rear end, and a 0.81 fifth gear, and top speed was at 6250 rpm.

Given that most of the cars around here probably dont have fresh engines, I would expect that most actual top speed would be lower than that.

240 is where the speedo stops. Rev limiter was hit at prob just over that.
