E30 Manual Conversion

I am looking at this 232415693 on Trademe. Does it look like everything is there to convert mine? Mine is 318i and this conv kit is for 318i. And is there a "HOW-TO Step by Step Guide" to do the conversion?

You need to make sure it's for your M40, facelift 318i, and not from a prefacelift M10.

Says its off a 1986 though

Dont forget to include postage from Christchurch and the cost of getting a new clutch etc. Could be having to take it out again in a few weeks if ya dont..

Something doesn't look right, if it's from an 86 it should have the older style steel plate shifter. The one on there looks abnormally longer and the driveshaft looks way longer ?

That flywheel is NOT from a M40, this will not fit. Looks M10 or 20 to me.

I have everything you need to convert your car to manual, I assume Facelift M40 316i stuff = Facelift M40 318i stuff. Could drop it off in Hamilton if you were really keen.

Alice was a 85 318 m10 and had an ally shifter.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure it's M10 as well.

yeah bellhousing looks different to a normal 240/260

get him to check the distance between the top 2 bolt holes on the bellhousing ,

m10 and m30 are 120mm.

m40 m20 ,m50 are 140mm
