Kaz 64 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 Like Al-pee-na. Not Al-pinna or Al-pine-a. Or did I just open a can of worms? If its Alpina=Al-pee-na, would that not make bimmer=bee-mer?

1rotty 40 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 I agree. It doesn't bother me either way. I refer to the site as bimmer and normally the car as Beamer. Cheers Grant Me too.

allan 295 Report post Posted September 20, 2009 Skating on thin ice or sailing close to the wind came to mind when I read your reply Blackie but it did make me chuckle. As for the pronunciation I use Bimmer sport for the web site. When talking to other owners it can be either Beamer or BMW depends on the conversation and person concerned. When talking to people who do not own a beamer it is BMW just my 2 cents worth. Allan.
Guest Ari Gold Report post Posted September 20, 2009 We have a winner Beamer is for Bikes. Beamer was for the BMW bikes and Beezer was for the BSA bikes when they raced against each other way back in the day.
