charles28 136 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) So now my other E30 has an issue, so I now have 2 broken E30's and no reliable transport to get to work tomorrow. Anyone know if there's a quick fix for this problem showing in my video? I was stuck out at Rolleston today with it like this *happened on the way there*, I drove home with the radiator cap undone to relieve some pressure, however by Templeton the Coolant light was on again and had to fill it up 2 more times to get home to New Brighton. Video shows leak with Radiator cap on tight to show location of the leak, (after engine turned off even) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFjgbWb3LqQ Edited October 4, 2009 by Charles28
oscar90 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 You could always, as a last resort, cover it in sealant of some sort, would stop or it or atleast reduce it to a weep rather than how it is at the moment, limp it to get it fixed and keep big bottle of water in ya car

Guest FrantiC Report post Posted October 4, 2009 Bypass it. You can connect the hose directly from the block to the thermostat housing, by stretching one of those hoses instead of having thermostat housing -> throttlebody. throttlebody -> thermostat housing. It's pointlessly there really...

A small amount and dont overtighten it or the cork will split. Make sure both sides of the housings are perfectly cleaned
