The Hangover Thread

What are everybody's hangover routine's? My old routine has stopped working for some reason and I think I may be immune to blue powerade.

The old technique was.

Wake up at 2pm or so

Yack

Take a massive number 2

Get a sandwhich

Yack

Drink some powerade

Rub one off

Yack

Dinner time

Sleep.

It seems that it has stopped working,I think I need to replace the powerade and sandwhich with something else.

What does everyone else do to fight the pain?

Before comaing, drink 3 big glasses of water

wake up and shower

have a feed

or

hit the piss as soon as you wake up, always solves the prob :)

I watch tv. And do nothing.

Come shower time, I like to sit down, cold water at first, it reduces the dizzyness and urge to spew.

Never bother to put on make up, why try to make yourself feel better when you just come to realise you feel like shyte, no matter what you do.

And spend half of my day on the internet.

And wait for dinner to be cooked.

Nothing works for me.. If im hung over I say good by to a day or two.

I find sticking to one type of drink helps, I always have two pain killers a garlic multi and some olive oil before hitting the sack.

With age mine have got worse and worse, I end up drinking a lot more than I used to though.

Glass of Water and Panadol before bed.

Then Red Bull + Canned Peaches in the morning.

Wake up.

Lap water from the bathroom tap (no glass) for 5 minutes. It's the coldest tap in the house.

sh*t.

Shower.

Shave.

Shower again.

Coffee.

Bacon & Eggs.

Sunglasses on.

The best cure for hangover, become an tea totaler :rolleyes: lol

Eat 8 slices of dry bread BEFORE drinking :P

If you can, going for a run or playing rugby or something similar is good. Anything that gets you sweating and gets the blood pumping helps. Problem is, running is the last thing you want to be doing when hungover.

Blue Powerade's good, I think it's the sugar combined with it's rehydration powers.

I find the best one is drinking good quality beer the night before hand. I have had some ungodly hangovers on double brown. Stay away from Steinlager classic too. Steinlager pure is pretty good for preventing hangovers, even though it tastes like cardboard.

Orange juice the next morning is awesome.

(be warned when sitting in sauna you will smell of whatever you drank last night)

then lay in bed and watch videos of Turbo powered E30's.

I tend to drink lots of water before bed, then lots of fruit, cereal and some peanut butter & butter toast as soon as I wake up. After that, keep moving, do whatever. Wash, polish + wax car, vacuum, take a walk, mow the lawn, etc...

It will come right by around afternoon tea time.

Sauna, Swim and Spa does it for me.

But since I came back from the UK I don't drink much anymore. Too expensive and no good places to go locally. Oh and the fact that I have absolutely rooted Kidney's and should look after them.

I just ride it out and pretend it doesn't exist. Normally by lunchtime it is pretty much gone.

I also drink a sh*t load of water and eat a couple of bananas. Don't think they help bit it is good to get food and water inside me. Oh yeah I normally have a couple of strong short blacks (but that it normal hangover or no hangover)

although in saying this, I have not had a hangover in a long time. I'm too old for that sh*t now and the kids are not very sympathetic at their age.

I never yack the next day - nasty.

agree with drinking decent booze in the first place, lighter coloured stuff is generally better than the darker ones

hangovers are life on pause until you go out again

+1 with the getting older/worser hangovers - not good times
