Oyea and before anyone asks about the Garrett sticker.

All these little side projects are a distraction from a more expensive project slowing moving along...

Yay for Pedo Bear!

Glad to see it you are getting the last of your parts, will it be ready for Taupo?

Probably not :( I'm considering just waiting until after Taupo to put it all together.

Can't remember trim or inducer/exducer numbers but some sizes off the top of my head..

Compressor 0.70 A/R 4" inlet, outlet 2.5"

T3 Exhaust 0.63 A/R 2.5" out

Looks like a GT35 series or something similar.

Oh and I'm just waiting on an IAT weld in bung as far as parts go..Finished the harness adapter, just need separate wiring going to the coilpack and IAT sensor and she'll be good to go.

I love the idea of boost. What is your budget and what power are you after?

Cheers guys,

I love the idea of boost. What is your budget and what power are you after?

Budget? mmmmm...whats that?

I dream of huge numbers, but I'm going for 'reliability' first and foremost.

Ha how silly of me to assume you had a budget. I have seen a few turbo e30's in Auck but nothing with huge HP. Would love to see a local m20 pushing more than 400rwhp

edit: my spelling is atrocious...

Inspiration in the form of a 10.46 second quarter mile 325 turbo.

What manifold are you using for the turbo?

I'm not sure where it originated, I bought it from an E30tech member in Aus. Has a T3/T4 Flange, need to get a welder/fabricator to mod it for the wastegate.

Haven't bolted it up in the engine bay to check steering linkage clearance, which I hope isn't an issue, but it looks good on the spare engine in the garage :P

It doesn't clear the oil filter either but I have a relocating kit, just need to find somewhere else in the engine bay to mount the filter etc...

Nothing much has happened yet, I've been buying parts and stripping back the engine bay.

What pistons and size head gasket do you use?

What sort of compression ratio are you aiming for?

Is the spacer heat treated?

I'll be looking forward to seeing what this turns into

Im using 2.5 pistons so the comp should be around 9.75:1

Spacer wasnt heat treated AFAIK .. Theres no load on it as its only to fill out the oil seal gap, so does it matter?

Stock HG for now.

Haha hopefully it ends up running, reliably.

I actually only asked because it looks like it had a bit of color to it. Cheers for the info.
