bmw325i 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 A bit of a change is taking place with my 328, after getting a little bored with the clean look i thought what better to do than go the complete opposite! Rusty bonnet (ON but still in the process of rusting properly... Tinted side indicators, roof racks, gloss black grills) Still to come: Yellow inside inner lenses on head lights, tinted red section of tail lights, luggage carrier with old leather suit cases etc (in garage just not on yet), black/blue motorsport rims with white wall tyres, more rust on bonnet etc. I use the ladder for work so its not just on there for looks lol but took photos while it was still on the racks. now to the BMW enthusiasts.. which I am to a certain extent... will think im a complete knob for doing this but I DONT CARE and I have all original parts etc to revert this car back to factory standard! so dont even comment that you think its ridiculous when it can be your idea of nice at the flick of the fingers. and to other people they might think that its something pretty sweet and different. Its my car, my choice, my style so it doesnt matter lol.

louis297 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 mint needs more rust on the bonnet, as you did say. I think it needs all black roof racks but none the less it looks pretty cool
kingkarl 136 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 (edited) Awesome! Props for having the balls to do something different. edit: Got an old car battery lying around? Chuck the bonnet in a massive tub of salt water, crank it up and you'll have more than enough rust. Edited December 24, 2009 by kingkarl

Lucan 196 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 Woah cool! As said before more rust and maybe a slight drop in the front and it'd be perfect

bellicose 9 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=props I know what 'props' means. I'm actually questioning your statement 'bout doin' something different. This fad has been done to death in the states and europe, but i guess it takes quite awhile to filter down to NZ. Why can't people be leaders and not followers?

Good job, I like it. I'd stick with the M-Pars though, or try and find some split-piece wheels so that you can colour the centres.
kingkarl 136 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 I think he means be different in NZ ? Thank you sir. I haven't seen anyone on this forum (or country) adopt the "rat" style, hence the OP is being different.

Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 Nice one man. I personally think your car is too mint to rat out. Would look better with random bits of trim and sh*t missing. But again, your car is waaaay too mint to do that to!
